Today I met with the surgeon who told me I was about 110 lbs overweight.  Somehow hearing that was surreal.  I know it's true, but hearing it was painful.  Being this obese is painful.  My BCBS doesn't cover the sleeve, but he's going to try to appeal it for me, so I'm hopeful.  I know that this is a life long committment, and I am scared, but with so many people in my family obese, diabetic and with heart problems, I am hoping that I am making a proactive choice for myself.  I find these message boards to be very informative and I hope to continue to seek out advice and support here.
