Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)…Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly and take lots of pictures…the transformations will make your jaw drop!!! RNY 10/31/03 – down 100 pounds TODAY AND AN OFFICIAL MEMBER OF THE CENTURY CLUB!!! Good luck!

Paula, Just wanted to wish you luck on your surgery! I had my surgery on the 10th of November and it was the best thing that I could have done for myself. I can tell you that the first month is the hardest and that it gets better each month. After awhile you'll forget you've had the surgery and try to eat too fast and then you'll remember. Hi Paula! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give our support, lend an ear and to not judge. An Irish Blessing for you - For every storm, a rainbow; For every tear, a smile; For every care, a promise; And a blessing in each trial. -- May God keep you close to his side as you travel this journey. You will have ups and downs. You will have fears and excitement. Know that you can turn to us your AMOS family at all times to handle those moments. This will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself or your family. I know it was for me. Keep us posted when you get to the "other" side. I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!
