Brian Lane

"My first impression of Dr. Lane was that he was pretty "business like". But after we began talking, he seemed more personable and friendly. The more I talked to him, the more I liked him. He is soft spoken and did not rush us (husband and I) at all. He took all the time in the world to answer our questions and I felt like that at that time, I was the most important person on earth to him. His office staff was OK. Not overy friendly, but I wasn't there to see them :) The only thing about my visit I didn't like was that we had a long wait to see the Dr. He was over an hour late for our appointment. He emphasizes aftercare a great deal and makes sure you understand that is VERY important in the success of your surgery. He lets you know that it is up to YOU to do the work. He stresses support groups. He gave all the statistics of risk for the surgery but also let us know that TBC rates less than the national average in many categories. I felt my fears subsiding as he talked to us and feel that I will be in very experienced and excellent hands. Overall on a scale of 1 - 10 I would rate him a 10. Since I have not had my surgery yet, I can't rate his bedside manner. I think both surgical competence and bedside manner are important, but if I had to choose one, I would say surgical competence. I truly feel I have that with Dr. Lane. "
