Three seems to be my lucky number today......that is how many times they had to stick me to take my blood.  lol  I am happy to be done with everything.  Hopefully nobody wants anything else!!!  The next step will be submitting to the insurance.  Hopefully I'll get good news on that and be able to schedule surgery.  I hope everyone is doing great and has an awesome weekend!!  :) 

Okay, so I went to get my chest x-ray yesterday and I had to wait for two hours......ughhhh!!  Apparently the doctor didn't sign the order, and my my last name wasn't on the order, so they had to contact the doctor to get a new order.  Luckily, I am very anxious to have the surgery so I didn't mind the wait.  


Then, I thought that the x-ray would be the last thing needed, but when I went to my primary care doctor to get my clearance letter I was informed that he wants more blood work done prior to signing my letter.  He now wants to know how long my blood takes to clot.  Tomorrow, I will have to go again for more blood work.  Then, that should be the last thing needed prior to submitting to the insurance company.  

I just can't wait to hear what the insurance has to say......I hope it is "approved".

School has been so crazy, but I think I can squeeze in my chest x-ray tomorrow.  That is the only thing I have left to do.  :)  So far, everything is going well. The labs all look good, the EKG was normal, and the psychologist said he recommends surgery.  :)  

I got my psych evaluation done.  That was interesting.  It wasn't bad, it was just interesting.  I have never gone to a psychologist before so I wasn't sure what to expect.  He just asked a lot of questions and at the end told me that I seem like a happy person that understands what I am doing and he said that he would recommend the surgery.  Awesome!!!  I can't wait to get it submitted to the insurance.  I so want to know what they will say.   :)

I went to my primary care doctor this week, got my EKG done, as well as my labs drawn.  Tonight I will get my psych evaluation done and the only thing left will be my chest x-ray.  Then it will all be submitted to my insurance company for approval.....I hope.  :)  I have Blue Cross.  My plan says it cover WLS but I'm not sure if it is easy to get approval or if I'll have a hard time proving I need it.  If anyone has dealt with Blue Cross, I'd love to hear your experiences with the company.  :)

It seems like such a long time since I was last on here.  I started the process almost a year ago and had to stop since I just couldn't work it into my school schedule.  At the time, it seemed more important to finish my prerequisites rather than take time off of school, so that is what I did.  I am glad to be almost ready to apply for RN school, but am still not happy with my weight. So, I am starting over again in hopes of having surgery right after this semester is over, the end of May.  I am hoping I will get approval from my insurance and looking forward to being on the losing side.  

I went to see Dr. Coon yesterday for the first time.  He was soooo nice and very helpful.  He answered all of my questions, and I do mean all! I had so many for him.  Everyone in his office was also nice.  I now have to go to my primary care doctor for his clearance, get an EKG, have blood work done, speak with the nutritionist, and finally, have a consultation with the nutritionist and then they will be able to turn in my paperwork to the insurance for approval.  I hope to have all that done in the next week.  I am sooo excited and very impatient at this point.  It has taken me several years to decide to do this and now that I have made up my mind, I hate having to wait!  My husband is a little nervous since it is surgery, but he is very supportive.   I'm off to make all of my appointments.  I will keep you all posted.  

 I finally got a doctors appointment.  I go next month and am a little nervous, but also very excited!!  I can't wait to go and actually talk to him and see what he has to say.
