I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Tina, I saw your posting about your weight loss. You might want to give up the OJ - it has an awful lot of sugar in it. Since you are having problems drinking water, you might want to try Fruit2o or Propel. They both go down more easily for those who have trouble drinking water. Hang in there - you are still losing!

Tina, I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with the weight loss. Hang in there and keep doing what the dr teels you. I'm sure it will start to come off.

Tina, when I went for my 3 week checkup I had loss only 5 pounds. I was disappointed as well as my doctor. However he said that I was considered a light weight (BMI 46) and my age (60) could contribute to slower weight loss. But he stressed stick with the program and you are bound to lose. I'm losing but it is still slower than most (almost 4 months and down 46) but I must say I feel great. Hang in there it will happen.

Tina---I saw your post on the message board concerned about your weight loss to this point. What kind of soup are you using? Many commercial brand soups have tons of sodium in them. This can cause you to retain fluids (e.g. weight!) Be sure that you are drinking lots and lots of water---little sips so that you don't get a tummy ache. The water will help your body to release any excess fluids. I hope this helps! Hang in there!

TINA~~ I think that your surgeon was wrong to ask you if you'd been eating ice cream... Plateaus are completely NORMAL! I hit a plateau about 4 weeks after surgery... and it lasted about 5 weeks (I WAS GOING CRAZY!) But, as long as you keep with the program... eat your protein, walk, drink your water... IT WILL HAPPEN. HANG IN THERE.
