My story I am sure is like many many people on this site. I grew up with a mom who basically always watched what I ate growing up. So growing up I was thin. I joined the Navy when I was 18 and left home. Once I got out on my own I ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted thinking that I would be thin forever. I got married at 18 had a baby at 19. I am now 37 and I am still trying to lose the baby weight. I diet lose twenty pounds gain, 35 back. That has been my life since I was 20 years old. I have been on every diet imaginable....over the counter diet pills and aids, Seattle Sutton's, Weight Watchers. Slim Fast, Atkins, South Beach....you name it I have been on it. I think Weight Watchers should put up a plaque for me just for the number of times I have been on the program. I have had two back surgeries and I am tired of being fat. I want to live I feel like I am 102 years old. I work, I go home. I want to live again. That is why I really want to have WLS. I need help. I am hoping that this is the tool I need. I am waiting until I can switch my insurance to a PPO. Hopefully in April I will be able to get the process started.
