Hello! Big Favor! Make My Dream Come True!

Hello Everyone! I have a favor to ask all of my OH friends! I know it has been a long time since my last blog post. I am mostly a lurker now when I am on the site and have the time. I usually look for something that I am going through at the time.
So for my favor. There is a contest @ cbs.com for people to submit their 1 minute videos for a chance to win a trip to L.A. for an Audition with the producers of Survivor!! As most of you know if you have seen any responses I've made I have been dying to be on this show since it started. However, the first 8 years would have been impossible because of my weight.

Check out my new pics posted today.... It is my 1 year aniversary and I am able to get into size 8!!!......Never have I in my life have I been this size...............

Hello!!!!1 week from today will be my 1 year surgiversary!!! To date I have lost 153 lbs..
I am 9.5 lbs from being half the person I used to be, literally....... I have 19 lbs left to reach the goal I set for myself 1 year ago. I never would have thought it would have happened so fast... I
my RNY.......This year has been great and so many changes.. I don't have half the pain I used to, so that is good. I have been taking care of myself better. Caring about the way I present myself. I still get nervous shopping in the regular section, it seems weird, like I don't belong. But I am working on seeing what actually is as opposed to what my mind sees. Pictures really help in that respect. I am a camera whore now. lol
OK, new goals met and set..
I sent in my audition for Survivor 19 --- met
Want to be half of myself --- soon I hope
Want to reach my final goal and maybe beyond (we'll see how I look)
Send another Audition for Survivor 20 if I don't get selected for 19....I will keep applying until it gets canceled.
Get another job..... within the next 2 years
Refinance my home--within a year.

Wazzz UP?????? Bye Bye 200's!!8 months gone.. Yay!! I have slowed way down, but I think my body is catching up. I sure have been getting more & more comments.... Even got into a size 12 pair of jeans now. That's from a tight 26. Thank God for Kymora Body Shapers. If I ever get on Survivor
I'll have to take that with me.. ha ha...New goals:
I am doing the Halloween Challenge here and my goal was/is to get to 195 by Halloween. I may just make it. I am @ 197 at this time.. So maybe.
I would like to reach my goal weight of 155-160 by my one year anniversary February 6, so that would be about another 40 lbs over the next 4 months. So we will see about that. If I make it great. If I don't well, I'll just set another goal..
I will be auditioning again for Survivor, when they post the new audition dates. Wish me luck..

6 Months Gone! Just Like That!

So, it has now been 6 months since my surgery. Boy, what changes! It's also time to set some new goals. Goals Acheived:
Reach 100 lbs lost before camping trip. As of this morning I am officially @ 103 lbs lost.
Apply for Survivor! I did it! It was submitted in June, but I haven't heard anything yet but if I don't as I've said before I will keep trying!!
Now I just need to think of some new goals and will post more when I come up with them.
#1 I want to help DH find a better job that he will be happy with
#2 Get my DS to find a full or part time job & get his license finally.
That's my goal for them. Now I need some for me. Hmmmmmm. Something to think about! Thanks for reading.

Not counting my chickens before they hatch but......... It looks Like I may be making my 100lb goal before the date I specified previously! Yeah me! I'll post again once I have reached that goal! If I'm not to busy dancing in the streets. ha ha.
I have also started going to the Y pretty regularly, taking aqua-kickboxing. Lovin' it! I love anything to do with water.

3 MONTH POST-OP APPT

So I had my 3 month appointment yesterday. I didn't reach my 75 pound goal but I came pretty darn close. I was @ 67 pounds yesterday at the appointment. This morning I am at 70 pounds lost. Hey, I'll take it. This is the most I have ever lost in my life, and I plan to keep going! I'm not going to say lost forever because, unless I keep working at this I will be right back where I started. 6 month goal: 100 lbs lost. This would be by August the weekend of the camping trip.
Another goal: Audition for Survivor!
I know that will be hard to get on since so many people apply, but I am going to start submitting audition tapes until the show gets canceled. I applied once before, for Australia. Then never again because of my weight, I knew they would never pick me. Maybe I could be the 1st gastric bypass patient to play. hmmmm.. I also wouldn't have to eat that much! lolI'm a reality show ho. I also applied for the Biggest Loser a couple seasons ago. But my favorite has always been Survivor ever since the 1st season, I have only missed 1 show, the Amazon finale, because we were driving across country to our new home. I even watched the season premier of Fans vs Faves from my hospital bed the day after my surgery. Thank god I also TIVO'd it. ha ha.
My mom sent me a dvd of The Secret. It is about the secret of gettin what you want/need. You are supposed to make a wish board and keep a positive attitude & be grateful for what you do have.

Yahoo! I reached my 50 pound loss goal on my birthday last Friday!!!!!!!
Now for my next goals. I am going to try for these. I will not punish myself if not acheived.
May 13th: I hope to have lost 75 lbs by my follow-up appointment.
August 22nd: I hope to have lost 100 lbs by our camping trip.
I know I will probably be slowing down so these goals may not be realistic. So, I reserve the right to adjust them as needed.
Now for my next goals. I am going to try for these. I will not punish myself if not acheived.

5 Weeks Later

Well, it's 5 weeks since I had surgery, so I guess its time for me to Update! 
Let's see, things were ok at the hospital, as far as I knew. My DH told me the held me in the recovery room for longer than usual because I had a hard time waking up. Yep, that sounds about right when it comes to me and anesthesia. The hospital stay other than that was good, everyone was very friendly.
I had to have the icky drainage tube in for a week after discharge! Yuck. I did go to the ER on the Monday after because I was was in the worst pain of my life. After being in the ER and having all kinds of tests I had a V-8 moment (arrrgh its the gas!) Yep, that's what it was. The gas they filled me up with was in my shoulder & back! I read about it on here & in books but it did not register! I thought I had a clot & was going to die! LOL. Oh well!
Since surgery it has been going well. As of today I am down about 45 lbs. My mom says she will give me $50 for my birthday. A dollar for each pound! My birthday is next week so that is my goal to have lost 50 lbs by next friday.
People say they can tell, but I haven't really seen much difference yet.
Well, gotta go get some tires. Will update later if I make my 50 lb goal!!!!!!!
