As a kid my mom had to take me to a dr for medication to help me gain weight, and I think it's finally catching up with me. I used to joke that I was the healthiest fat person around, well that ended soon after that. My blood pressure soars to the roof, my asthma is outta control and OMG does my knees hurt so badly. I knew that it had to be more than just getting older, I finally admitted it was the weight. I need the help of gastric bypass to help me achieve this and I know I will. My surgery date is Jan. 19th.
Well, my surgery was cancelled on the 16th due to a possible cardiac blockage. I had a cardiac catherization today (Jan.23) and thank God it came out normal. My gastric bypass has been rescheduled til Feb. 5th. YIPPEE!!! They called me this past Thursday and offered me to reschedule to Feb 2nd...Of course I said yes. So it's almost my new birthday.
