15 Days Post Op

Feb 16, 2009

Well, it's 15 days since surgery and I must say it is definetly a lifestyle change...lol. Let me start from Feb. 2, 2009...I was very nervous that morning yet very eager to start my new life. I remember going to the OR but thats about it. I awoke later that day not really in severe pain but just tired.  HOWEVER...when I tried to move to get up....I just couldn't find that truck that I felt had just hit me.  I asked myself over and over...is this what I begged for. The thing is that it wasn't that kind of severe deadly pain..I just can't describe it..hmm...maybe a severe ache, like I was getting over the flu. Long story short...that was on a Monday, and Wednesday I was on my way home. Becareful of those bumps in the road when getting driven home they go right through you. Once home it's been uphill ever since. I'm learning to listen to what my body is telling me. When it's full.....remember it's full..that one more bite can cause you to throw up  and make you feel so miserable. OK OK Body...I'm learning to listen. I have a big long road ahead of me but I'm ready and I'm going to do this. If given the opportunity to do it again I would do it immediately.  Guess what also....I havent needed my asthma inhalers in over a week.
