4 Month post op

Sep 22, 2010

Can hardly believe it's already been 4 months.  It's been a roller coaster ride so far...extreme highs and extreme lows.  As of this morning, I'm down 52lbs.  Very excited to have hit the 50lb mark but there is still a part of me that expects it should be more.  It seems my body loses weight in stages...3 weeks in a row I lose about a pound and then the 4th week about 4-5lbs.   This has caused those extreme lows....it's hard to come to grips that the weight is not falling off like I expected but I'm so glad to say that I'll never see those 52lbs again for the rest of my life....that is the extreme high!!
It's also time to start a serious exercise routine...I've signed up for my first 5km run in December.  Now that I'm aware of what foods I can and can't eat, it's time to start the next phase of this journey and hit the pavement running.
Wish me luck and for those who pray, I could use all the prayers I can get!!!
Hugs to all my WLS friends!
