yeah, I have always been over weight. I remember dieting starting when I was 10 years old. My first real diet where I was very successful was when I was 16, I went from 180lbs to 160lbs! I still thought I was huge. It wasn't until I went to college that I really packed on the pounds balloning to 240lbs. I lost 40 but, within 3 years I was back up to 240. I started dieting again and well, you know how that goes, I balloned to 280lbs. That's when I decided something had to be done, something more serious than Weight Watchers or Adkins. I talked to a few co-workers and finally decided to attend an information class on gastric bypass surgery. That day November 27th, I knew weight loss surgery was a must. Since then I have been on the path to a health life and weight loss. I was approved by insurance the first try and had surgery December 30th! So far I am down to 251lbs from 280lbs! In the pre-op phase I lost 12lbs by cutting carbs. I am pretty proud of myself for making the decision to have weight loss surgery and even more excited about getting started with the rest of my life!
