My story is like lots I have read. I was a normal size child until age 6. Then...BAM! I started getting chunky. I was always the biggest in my peer group. Always. My first diet.....2nd grade. I remember a classmate have a going away party (I still remember her name) and the teacher had Oreos and vanilla ice cream for everyone. I skipped....dieting. So the never ending quest to lose weight started....I suppose in about 1982. Sad to think of since I was born in 1974. Skipped my prom as a senior and chose to spend my 'prom money' on a weight loss doctor. So many memories around weight.....ughh. So here I am....on the new quest. This time looking for permenant tool for weight loss. I am in the process of jumping through hoops right now. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I have lots of family support and support from my girlfriend, Jana (though she is a little nervous about it). That's it in a nut shell. I hope to meet lots of people here for support and to give support.
