Ok, where can I begin, I have been overweight for as far back as I can remember. it's been this way since atleast high school and that's been almost twenty years ago. I've tried just about every diet I and a few worked, but most feiled and I was once again back being a "FAT GIRL"
. I have been tusseling with the decision of having the surgery for about three years now. I recently moved to San Diego, CA from Florida after the death of my mother in 2005. My sister ans I had orginally started finding out information about the surgery together, however I lost my insurance and couldn't get the surgery. My sister when on and had WLS in June of 2004. She is doing wonderful and I can't wait to tell my story just like her
. It was a glorious day when my surgeon's officce called and said I was approved. But that was way back in Jan 2007, it's now Aug 2007 and I'm just now getting arounf to having my surgery. But I'm not complainting, just being Thankful. Well now only 14 days from my surgery, the excitment is kiilin a sista. can't wait. Will keep you all updated as the days get closer...

Ok, I haven't posted in about a month, Ok, I'm sorry.. There has been so many things that have gone on, since my last post. I am almost 6weeks out and it's amazing the how you change and how you adjust. Well I have adjusted ok..I now know that this thing is so much more mental than I ever had expected it would be. No I don't feel hungry, but when I do eat and get full so very fast it's crazy how you still want to eat more , because your so use to eating much more in the past. But I am learning to adjust to that as time goes by.. People continue to tell me that I am losing weight, but a sistah can't seem to see it yet. i know it will come.. Ok that's all I have to say for now..will post a lot sooner next time..Lub you all..Lata

Wow, I can't believe how time flies. It has been 10 months out for me and what a journey it has been. I a now down 107lbs, which is great for me as well as my health. I Thank the good Lord, everyday for this tool that I have and for allowing me another chance. My blood work came back a few days ago and everything was good except my Calcium. I wasn't to worried,because I have just started taking calcium and by the time my blood work is due again, it should be A Ok.Other than that I am doing well and looking forward everything else life has to bring
