New day, New Band

As of October 17, 2008 I had my original Lap Band which had slipped replae with a new AP Band. Surgery and recovery was tough, but I am greatful for the second chance!
4th fill!

I had my fourth fill yesterday. All is going well. I now weigh 204, 30 pounds down from surgery and the doc is happy with that. He keeps telling me slow loss of 1-2 pounds per week is the best. I trust him so I need to be patient.
Surgery is complete!

Surgery was friday and it was more painfull than I expected. I am starting to get around today, but I am getting tired of the recliner. I haven't been able to sleep lying down yet, but all these little discomforts will be worth the end results. My wonderful husband and Mother in law was with my during my surgery. Thank God for them and the wonderfull staff at the hospital.
Finally approved!

I finally have approval. I had all my pre-surgery testing, saw the nutrionist and the surgeon today. My surgery is scheduled for April 27, 2007 at 11:00 am. I am looking forward to beginning my journey as a loser.

It seems like forever! I feel like I have been waiting an eternity to get through all the red tape and get approval. Things are finally in the hands of BC/BS of MN. They say it will take no longer than 10 days for me to get approved or denied. Keep me in your prayers that I get approved soon!
