Best medical decision of your life - all the best Bob! Remember to deep breathe, cough, walk, walk, walk - and use the pain med as much as you need so you can do exactly that - Bette

Bob - best of luck tomorrow on your big day! I know a million things must be running through your mind, not to mention experiencing just about every emotion. I will pass on to you the advice I was given as I drove to the hospital on my surgery morning - my kid's Godmother told me: think postive, happy, beautiful thoughts. She told me to focus on my favorite memories, my favorite things, the future and all it holds, all the fun I'd have watching the lbs melt off - etc, etc. Well I did that and it helped tremendously! Be thankful you are first on the surgery schedule - I wasn't and didn't get in the OR until about 7pm! So I had LOTS of time to be negative and scared - but focusing on the happy thoughts really helped. Just getting to this point - having the surgery approved, finishing the pre op testing and diet and knowing you are almost THERE - is such an accomplishment. Now you can forget all the work it was to get here - focus on your recovery, and before you know it, you'll feel like a million bucks!!! Lucky you that you live near Susan Maria's store! I live in Miami and haven't made it there yet, probably would if she opened on Saturday. But my friend did drive up there just before Christmas, bought me her book, and had her sign it for me! Anyway, back to you! You are going to do great! Please post once you are home and let us know you are back home! Good luck and God bless you! Carol in Miami :)
