"I met with Dr. Houston for the initial consultation on October 26th. He expressed concern over my weight being such that he didn't think I could lose much more then 200 pounds. I asked him what he would set my goal weight at and he said he couldn't set one. So I set it at 200. Which means I am setting goal of a 267 pound weight loss with Gastric Bypass. rnHe was very thorough in the procedure he would perform. He told me if I could lose some weight before surgery date it would be better for me. rnDuring the consultation, he displayed some humor and I became more and more comfortable with the process.rnI am a little put out that he was so discouraging regarding how much weight I could lose with the surgery tool. My attitude leaving his office was a little indignant. I will reach my goal weight and show him. rnrnDr. Houston's staff, ie HOLLY, was very friendly and attentive. I had not been weighed nor have i known my weight since 1998. She handled my discomfort and shame with great respect and a wonderful sense of humor."
