Hello All,
My name is Gina and I'm Tyler's mom. Most of my life I was a very resonable size. I was always either wearing a size 8 or 10. Then some how I lost control and I have been battling weightloss for over 9 years now. I'm currently 5"4 and weigh 276lbs (BMI 48). I've been on every diet known to man. Phen Fen, Phentermine alone, Slim Fast, Dexatrim, Alli, Xeandrine, La Weightloss, Weight Watchers, Curves.. and some diets were successful, but I only gained the weight back. I now have a 2 year old little boy and my husband just recently went to Iraq and my son requires a lot of physical play.
One day he wanted to jump on my back and only after 2 minutes into playing with him I was exhausted and physically hurting due to all of this weight. I cried because I couldn't even enjoy playing with my son. I broke down right there and my son said in his baby voice "mommie you alright". You see I have to get better for myself and him. I want to make sure that in his fathers absence I can play with him as long as he needs me.
Today September 18th I received great news. TriCare approved my surgery request for the LapBand!!!!! I'm on my way to a better me for me and my son. I'm excited and scared, but looking forward to where this ride is going to take me. Wish me luck :)
