How Vampi Got Her Groove Back!

Yes yes yes!  My body is finally feeling better!  6 months out from that horrible fall while camping and the IT band injury - I am finally getting my mileage back up and running more! 

I feel GREAT!  The scale is moving again and I hope I can get in the 180s real soon.  Lean, mean, fighting machine!! 

Currently, I have a LOT of fear driving me to work so hard.  I signed up (already paid and everything) for a 1/2 marathon in February.  Now, I know that it's still like7 months away, but I have yet to run/walk more than 3.5 miles at a time! 

In addition to that, I have to start training now to be able to be in good enough shape to do the REAL 1/2 marathon training 16 weeks before the race.  Most programs want you to be able to run at least 3 solid miles before starting the program.  I can run and walk 3 miles, but I can't do it all running yet. 

So, I am on a strict schedule with the goal of increasing my mileage each week, increasing my endurance, and hopefully remaining injury free! 

I bought my second pair of running shoes last week too!!  YAY!  I am proud of myself for putting so many hard miles on that first pair.
