Happy 4th of July!!

Well it has been 5 days since surgery and I am doing well. I am feeling pretty great except for a little bit of incision pain. My drain outlet has scabbed over and there was no blood on the dressing this morning. I have been sleeping on the couch and sitting up on my big comfy chair!
I was going to try to go to my brother's house for the festivities but I wasn't sure I was up for the hour and 15 minute trip there in the car. I miss seeing the grand kids for the 4th. It is also my oldest daughter's birthday, she turned 31! So My hubby and I spent a quiet day at home.
All the full liquids that I tolerated pre-op are now being tolerated post-op. I can't wait until I can start pureed and soft foods! I am so tried of carnation instant breakfast, low fat yogurt and cream of wheat! I have blood work on Monday and a doctor's appointment on Thursday, maybe he'll give me early clearance?
This is the first 4th of July that I haven't seen fireworks but I really didn't feel like fighting the crowds. I can hear the Royalton Park show as I write this.
I hope everyone else is doing well. Thanks to everyone in the armed forces 
who fight to keep us safe and free!
