Well, like most others here I've been fighting weight for what seems like my whole life.  I was NEVER one of the skinny girls - EVER!  But I wasn't really obese either as a child.  For some reason I remember weighing somewhere in the 180's when I started college.  After college - I did Weight Watchers for the first time - my starting weight was about 208.  I never remember weighing less than 160 lbs!  I gained and lost the same 50 or 60 lbs. about 2 times in my young adult life.  I weighed about 200 lbs on my wedding day in 1993 and 255 when I started a liquid diet in 2000.  The liquid diet was the most I had ever loss - I looked great even though I was still NEVER a skinny girl!  The lowest I got to on my liquid diet was 163 lbs.  I ended up getting pregnant (woohoo!)  - was 168 lbs. at my first OB appointment - I can't wait to see that weight again.  I have a 6 1/2 year old son and hate the thought of him having a fat mommy.  My husband definitely likes skinnier chicks too!   I have always kept one ear out on bariatric surgeries but as a critical nurse those few people that didn't do well always stuck out in my mind.  When I heard about the lap-band I thought that seemed like a doable course for me.  Met my would-be surgeon in October and had my lap-band done December 19th, 2007.
