Pre-op 3/16

Mar 15, 2010

I am making a few "friends", and it is helping.  I still have doubts if I can suceed in my goal to loose 100 lbs and keep it off, and to keep up my exercise program.

I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, and will be getting my C-PAP soon.  Still trying to decide whether to give up coffee and diet cokes before surgery, or diet before  surg.

I am not ging to go to any more local support group meeting for a while, too much negative energy.

Hello, my name is Jane.  Age 59, I weight 235 lbs, 5'6".  I am waiting for my bypass surg.-it was postponed from 3/5 to 5/4.  I am terribly disappointed, but that's the way it is.  I have been heavy since I was 40yrs.  I gained from 140 when I went back to school while working 2 jobs, and then went through a divorce.  Since that time I have lost as much as 60 lbs, but it keeps coming back.  I keep wondering (am afraid) that after I loose my weight this time, will it be any different?  Will I gain it back?  Will I loose the motivation it takes.  I am trying to remain hoepful and saving up for possible needed plastic surgery!!  I am exercising 5 days a week, but it's a struggle some days.  Looking forward to being around others who are going thru this in the early states and those that have already been there.  The group I attend locally is mainly composed of a few women who have lost over a hundred lbs and have at least another hundred to go but are stuck, lost motivation, etc.  But I proud of them, they have not regained their weight.  Would like to here from you.
