I've been going to Doctor's monthly ,and my Physcian has all my paper work documentation to Have this ssurgery jus need to have consultation see from the surgeon if i'd be accepted or not .I am under alot depression ,hernia in my stomach ,had my gallbladder out already in 2003 ,weak bladder,my back legs hurt joints all time fluid bottom ankles take fluid pills from doctor & etc all in paper work . I want to do this for ME .I need the extra help i've done Weight Watchers& etc to lose 20lbs and so jus to put back on Since my son was born Jan 2003 Its gotta harder .I want to be able to run around with my son with out getting out breath I want to be here to watch him grow up I want him to have a Healthy Mother

I went to my seminar in Dubois Pa at Holiday Inn the seminar was well presented it was nice. after presentation we got to talk with the nurse sectary as doctor's couldn't make it but they did WONDERFUL job. I told them about my bmi being 38 ,but I had henia hernia, Servere Depression, lot joint pain , Family history Diabetes,Massive heartattacks and etc. I also stated I been going to Weight Management for 3 months be 4 months on March 24th they asked me what insurance I had I told them Upmc PPO Plan here you only need 3 month Weight Management to get started so since got that they said probably got Really good chance getting it because Hernia,and Etc.

Called Sweckliy to get schedule for Doctors I go April 21st to see the Dietition ,and the Doctor I can go right to Dubois office I have to have $100.00 upfront that day then I still have to pay $295.00 before my surgery date as you have to pay 395.00 to cover small costs so I'm getting excited!!!!!! After this I just have the testing which they said I can take in St Mary's Pa then They will call me in 24 to 48 hrs after thats done till 2wks to let me know surgery date if accepted lets keep fingers cross this means so much to me !!!!!!!!

Well I gotto meet the Dietician she was really nice went quick and smooth . I also got to meet Dr Wilcox he gets right down to it .He saids I got really good chance because all the medications i'm on espicially for my age ,and the Hernia I have in my stomach servere depression .They were ALL very nice .And listen to what u had to say. I am up 218 jus so upset b/c seems like jus keeps adding up and I don't know how gaining when Excercising and eating right. They want me to get tested for Thyroid, I got to go Upper GI,And go be evaluated by Psychological once all is done they recieve my info will be faxed said shouldn't be long at all.

I went up to hospital get blood work done for Thyroid thats completed I get my Upper Gi done April 28th same day my 3 yr old getting his Tonsils adnoids out.

Well It didn't take long at all Like I thought It would they made quick so i could get bk to my son i wanted to be bk in his rm before brought him bk from Surgery .I was right on time The stuff u got to drink is Horrible I thought I was going to vomit right then there but I kept it done .I goto Port May 2nd for Evaluation almost done with my testing . Keep praying for me .

Well I went for my Evaluation boy was it long 3.5 hrs long i got to go bk tomm to complete it I was so Nervous.....

I got to meet with the Pchy Dr decide if hes going to Support you or not we talked for 1/2 hr He said hes supporting me 100 percent he said at first he wasn't b/c he watched me go up stairs everything fine but said getting to talk to me he saw how effects me that Heard me say I was doing it for myself and my Son how much I wanted to be able to enjoy life instead feeling miserable all the time hiding jus hating myself and Life . How person can look at some one think there fine but they don't know whats going on inside the person .He said right then there He was supporting me 100 percent ....I'm so Excited I cried after leaving the dr office This means so much to me I want more then anything to be Healthie I just Hope my Insurance Approves me

I called Sewickly to seeif they recieved all my test she said they had everything except my Pchy Evaulation soon they got that be faxed I couldn't understand why didn't recieve it ,So I called Port They said they mailed it instead faxing ,which upset me .So I will call bk again end wk and see.

Still nothing This waite driving me crazy I keep thinking the worse that going to get turn down then i get frustrated Hoping Monday I hear something I will keep you's posted please cont to pray for me

Well finally today I had my mom called Sewickly to see what was going on as I was at work .I called her 12pm she said well CONGRATS!!!! you are approved .I was speechless for couple min then i said ar eu sure mom She said yes . I called Sewickly when i got off work I WAS SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! I have to be in Dubois Fri to meet up with Dr Felix to sign forms then I have to stop by Hosp and get EKG done, Chest X rays,And some more blood done . My surgery date is June 6th 2006 I'm REALLY excited and nervous. I'm glad .I think the hardest thing so far out of it is the waite from Insurance company. Well wish me luck ,And keep me in your prayers

My drive down was nightmare left here at 3 am to head to Sewickly 3.5 hr drive i ended up getting lost ended up in pittsburgh down by stadium i was nervous wreck it put me 10 min being late but i called to let them know i was lost . when they were preping me I almost chickend out I was so Nervous and scared didn't klnow if i really wanted to go through all this . they asked me questions put iv in my arm they had to do it twice there was alot of shots i got i was taking bk to my rm 145pm i was sore and my mouth hurt really dry I slept alot.Dr Felix told me everything went good in surgery . My Mom and Nathan stayed intill 2pm then headed back home . I had couple popscicles that was about it slept most time

I put in a rough nite every 4 hrs the nurse coming in give me pain medicine my breathing was monitored as kept going low. i got in about 33oz fluids today walked little over 3,000 ft they were all impressed still in alot pain

Today Dr Felix asked me if I wanted to go home stay couple days I told him I was ready to go home . He said okay he get discharge papers ready. I started getting cleaned up getting ready to go home . the nurse came in to take iv needle out then they had to take drainage bag out Boy did that ever hurt........ I still feeling awful ,but was looking forward to going home. EVERYONE WAS REALLY WONDERFUL AT SEWICKLY ......... My parents son got there at 1130 am i was dischargeed I was nervous bout the ride home b/c 3.5 hrs away. It was very rough on me and I was in alot of pain........... I wonder if i made right choice coming home b/c the pain i was in. i didn't do greatest on liquids i got like 23 oz in me today. my back hurt really bad .

I got up 2 am to start my liquids to get start on them I had so so night back been hurting really bad ... my stomach can't tolerate jello to much anymore The hosp called me today b/c didn't know i was suppose to start my protien today as suppose to have 20 to 30 grams a day they said yes plus hadn't had bowel movement since monday they wanted me to take laxative nothing happen to call them first thing monday . the protien i see going to be tough out 8oz i got 3 0z in me it took 2.5 hrs just to get that in me made me sick i walked alittle bit ouutside today i got 36oz fluid in me today able to take a shower my incisions look good jus where bag was draining alittle still all in all pretty good.

I'm doing so so still having alot back pain stomach pain I'm getting around but after awhile i get light head shakes like going to past out .I finally found something I can drink tolerate thats Ice with water tried it lastnight as I been having real difficult time getting liquids in me Mon And Tuesday i had only like 12 oz jus been having alot nauseas . I get weak .I'm looking forward to Phase 2 which hopefully be this coming Tuesday if Doc refers me to it .I went out bought eggs,cheese,cottage cheese cream soups fish yesterday . Just hoping stomach can tolerate it not make me dump
I had to take pain medicine lastnight so much pain as i over did it .

I know been couple days since posted yesterday i finally got 30oz in me as last couple days been like 12 to 20 ozs a day I did walk a mile today and weigh my self first time lost 22 lbs yippey!!!! I said were but the scales right weigh myself 4 times just to see i will weigh myself sunday night then see what am Drs monday then only weigh in every Tuesday .

I went to Sewickley today to see Dr felix was there bout 15 min i got scolded on my liquids b/c not getting enough in me still shy of like 34 0z still he said if i don't start getting in me going to end up in hospital with Iv's .I am on babyfood 3 wks now then can advance to soft foods after. I go back to see him on july 28th but in Dubois area instead driving 3.5 hrs to pittsburgh only got to drive hr which is nice . Off work intill Aug 7th . Dr Felix been great I really like him Great Doctor!!!!

Happy 4th of July !!!! Yesterday i weighed myself lost another 3lbs I'm doin better have my days the other day i had alot leg cramps muscle spasms other then that things going really good .

Well today has been exactly one month for me since surgey I lost another lb so i've lost a total of 29lbs in one month exact . Today i walked 5 miles it was nice i even have a pic to post that was taking .

Sorry been awhile since I posted my comp was down for one I weighed in wed the 19th lost 5 lbs I was excited as lately jus been feeling bloated I've been swimming alot twice day sometimes almost 2 to 3 hrs a day do water excercises and that I go bk to work 2 more wks hoping to be down 10 more lbs . Still battling the liquids though

Today was my Doctors Appt and everything went pretty good down 39lbs from his scales . He asked me if i was sure I was ready to go bk to work and i said yes I wanted to give it a try .He told me if i had any problems to give him a call .He was still worried on me only getting 30 or less liquids in me since surgery my protein being highest 45 grams. I asked him if i could have salads yet as I been craving them he told me yes i was excited about that as i been craving them lol

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME !!!! Today me and my son going shopping Walmart .My hubby and son bought me this really cool 18 speed mountain bike i got it the other day early gift i ride it 4 miles a day I jus love it .

Today I weighed in and lost 3 more lbs I was scared b/c didn't think i lost anything felt bloated for awhile well i'm almost at my first goal being 180 .I'm going to still weigh in Aug 6 th as that will be my 2 month mark. I go bk to work in 4 more days I hope to lose more faster and tone my arms up faster b/c all the lifting i do .
8-13-06 I went bk to work on the 7th put this way by noon time i'm ready for a nap . my body aches by 330 i'm literally drained! lol
well i lost 2 more lbs yippey!!
8-20-06 Today was my weigh in I was so HAPPY I lost 5lbs this week putting me at 175lbs 35 more to go I was so Happy!!! Then something good happen to me at church to day I got special message from god and meant alot to me took alot off of me I guess u had to be there to understand and to see how gifting it was and touching it was AWESOME!!!! People that got to see it some family members got to see it so they know what i'm talking about This day couldn't have gone any better for me !

Today I meet with Dr.Felix everything went really good down 8 more lbs all my blood work came bk good which i didn't think would b/c i don't get my liquids and protein in me like suppose to .

WOW its been awhile since i've post i am doing good i weighed myself dec 31 and I am on a stall i haven't lost been like a month i am still 147 .I was bummed out b/c stall but i keep telling myself how far i've come and have accomplished and i am proud of myself but i hope i can break this stall cont on my jorney to reach my final goal 124 or 130 lee way
I've been chking into Tum,my tucks as my stomach is jello lol and it REALLY bothers me its disguisting lol
but not going to give up i've come to far
3-10-07Hi Its been awhile since my last pst I know but things been so Hectic i've been catching everything I've been sick on and off last 2 months Sinutis and Viral Infections everytime i think get my Immune System built bk up I get it again But doesn't help with my 4 yr old he has low Immune Catches everything also I been having problem here there with sugar cravings been scaring me I am trying to control It.
I have Spring Fever so bad and I think once nice weather gets here I won't have problem b/c be out riding walking and etc today I walked 2 miles down town after I tanned it felt so good the fresh air and just everything . I go seee Dr Felix April 9th and I'm hoping to lose 10 lbs before i go see him My weight loss slowed down alot i'm still 147 i'm going to weigh in tomm to see if lost anything i would love to get down to 135 130 I feel I will once warm weather gets here
My hair FINALLY seems to not be falling out so bad now must be finally getting enough Protein in me I am so happy I'm down to sz 7 and 8 It feels so good!
4-13-07 FINALLY I lost 2 lbs down to 145 Today i go see Doctor Felix I hope everyting goes good.I've been doing better jus having some upper leg problems i think i pulled hammy not sure going to talk to Felix today about it I will post more later on that
7-15-07 I no its been AWHILE since i've post I regreat it . I got laid off may 29th till july 9th from job jus got bk to work on the 9th and i do alot lifting very active but well i was off i walked and excercised but i let the depression get to me and got off track BIG MISTAKE and I CAUGHT myself . I found myself not eating much but eating the wrong stuff . then not weighing myself i hate the scales haven't weighed in since my visit to dr felix in April when i was off work i got the couarge to weigh in and i was so upset with myself and now going to weigh in weekly now get bk on track i still wear sz 8 but some of my 8 in the hips are snug do to knowing i gained in inces had to have my stomach not as toned as it was so i am working on getting bk on track now ...
9-10-07 Its been awhile again i've been still having alot joint pain well i went had bone scan done last fri and i got my results bk today i have Ospeopenia osteporosis and they put me on Actonel 5 mg not to suceed 35mg a day i have to drink 6 t0 8 oz water with taking the pill and i am NOT allowed to lay down for 30 min from taking the medicine if my stomach starts acting up i gotto quit taking the pill as it can cause ulcers other side affects.
Called dr Felix and i'm only allowed 5 mg a day this pill but the pill 35mg so i have to break it up i will start it sat to see how i will react to it sad 28 and have this said tyhis would explain alot my joint pains i've been having
drained alot mostly headaches and my neck i started walking 2 miles again dailey i weigh 146 and my goal before christmas to be down to 130 lbs
12-17-07 Well its been along time things been so hectic here me my fiancee of 6 yrs split up couple months ago sept 28th he moved out oct 12th i've been drained alot i lost a couple more pounds down to 142 i still working on getting to 130 in time
