well i had my birthday yesterday, i enjoyed the day at la jolla shores
my family met me in the afternoon, we had a bon fire it was great!
i am only weighing at the gym and havent been yet this week but last week,
july 3rd i was down to 218 a total loss of 32 lbs. i have so much more energy, adding foods slowly, since so many have upset my system. went out with sara, michelle and becky on friday to cheesecake factory after we went to seaport village. food is becoming less consuming i am learning to enjoy
music, the beach, gardening, shopping again. i look forward to buying clothes in the regular sizes again.

hello oh friends!
well it finally happened i had my wls on may 21st, 2007. pacific bariatric is great dr. tanaka is very professional, and also kind.
having surgery the same day as becky was so fun , we walked together as often as we could. the day after surgery is a little blurry, i had pain and naucousness. but wed i felt much better . last weekend i went to cabo san lucas mexico a great place to relax and recover.
i am down 12 lbs so far and feel so good i have to look at the small marks on my stomach to know that i had wls.michelle was so inspiring thru all of the process! my classmates carol and janan are just a step ahead so i have an idea of what to expect. i am so glad i finally did this. love jolene

well i had my 3 appointments on wednesday april 18, 2007
my surgeon will be dr. tanaka, i liked him, and i've heard he is a very good surgeon. pacific bariatric should be calling with a surgery date soon,
my friend carol had her appointments on april 10, her surgery date is may 9th. i cant believe its finally going to happen, i am ready to start a new healthier life.

wow i cant believe how close i am. next step 3 appointments with pacific bariatric then i get a surgery date !! i was born at mercy hospital
where pacific bariatric performs surgery. i was so small 2.5 lbs can you believe it they were so worried i was'nt going to live! well here i am at 245 lbs preparing to change my life and assume a normal weight
(im thinking 140 would be perfect) but it has been 16 years since i have been that weight my body has shifted and rearranged but i
finally have hope to be below 200 lbs again. i have so many hopes and dreams that will be fulfilled. i will post again when i get my surgery date! jo

i attended class 12 we have 12 more to go, i reccommend
kaiser and positive choice they really prepare you , inform you,
support you i have made new friends, and have less fear now.
last week we attended the orientation class at pacific bariatric, mercy hospital where i will have my wls. dr. rumsey was speaking he is one of several surgeons that do the wls at pacific bariatric. i really liked him he was thourogh and informative i liked his personality too.
i believes this is a safe option for us who have morbid obesity.
my best friend has been gaining weight fast the last few years and she was afraid to have surgery (her son is 6 years old) we have had several conversations about wls and she is now considering it too!
i am excited for her now too! it is a hard reality that we are at higher risk for disease and death at this weight, than risks of dying from surgery. i have been under alot of stress this week, and have made myself sick overeating a few times, wow it is a struggle at times.
