7 MONTHS!!!!
Aug 18, 2008
So, here it is 7 months and a bit... I am teetering on the 100 lbs lost, as of today it is 99.9 lbs!!!!!! I started in a 26/28,and this weekend I bought size 14 jeans... I have lost 69 1/4 inches from all over. I can run and walk and play with my daughter. I must admit I still have not added working out to my life, but now that my daughter is back in school, I plan to go to the gym every day that I am off. I can use the weights and the pool for as long as I want, so I have hopes that soon I will start to firm up my flabbiness.
Eating is going well, I am just over 1/2 cup of food per meal, and due to my job I have also added 1 or 2 snacks per day, depending on how busy I am.

I have more energy than ever, and am wanting to try things I havent done in years. I took my daughter to the carnival on Sat, I went on rides that I never would have dared go on last summer. I am also planning a trip to Eliches in a couple of weeks, cant wait, havent been there in like 7 years. And knowing I dont have to worry about fitting really makes it more fun.
I tried to sit down and make a list of what I gave up when having surgery, and what I have gained has far outweighed that short list. I dont miss anything I have given up, the health benefits are tremendous!!!!! I just try every day to eat what is good, and I really dont beat myself up for the occasional treat, slip up, what ever you want to call it. Now I want to work on my self confidence issues and who knows what will happen then.
Week 25
Jun 23, 2008
ONEDERLAND!!!!!!! today I weighed, and I always record on Mondays and today I was 199. Wonderland and 50lbs to go!!!!!! I am wearing a size 18 shorts and a size L shirt.....
I feel awesome!!!! I need to start moving more, and that is my new focus, since eating is going well, and I have not had any serious problems, I need to up the workouts. So now every day that I work, my goal is 12000 steps or more and on non work days, I will go to the gym at work for at least 30 minutes to 1hr. So that is 4 days a week gym and 3 days a week walking.

16 WEEKS WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE
Apr 27, 2008
Today I weigh 215 which is 66 lbs less than when I started and 66 lbs from where I want to end up. I AM HALF WAY TO GOAL!!!!!!!!
So the good stuff
I have gone from 26/28 to an 18/20 top and 20 pants
I have lost a total of 39 inches
I am walking anywhere from 6000 to 12000 steps a day, I can go up stairs without getting winded
I am exercising at least 3 times a week (need to up that)
I love my new job!!!!!!!
I am planning on buying season passes to the Elich Gardens amusement park!!!!!
Knock on wood . . . I have had no problems at all since my surgery
I sleep well, I eat well, at this point I am eating whatever I want, just keeping track of portions. I eat 3 meals a day, which today went up to 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon, and 1 snack. I dont count protein or calories, but that is ok. I have lost weight consistently, I have had 1 stall of 1 week, and when I ate a bit more, I lost the next week. I am working on getting a PCP, so I can get blood drawn to check my numbers. I feel better, and having bought clothes at a thrift store that fit, I look better than I did wearing the old baggy stuff. I have now boxed up the baggy stuff for donation. I have eaten badly once. I had a small piece of my brothers birthday cake, and I got a headache from the sugar, but I felt it was worth it. I LOVE THIS SURGERY AND MY LIFE!!!!
NEW JOB!!!!

I have energy, I am walking almost everyday, and I have been able to eat just about anything. I cannot do beef like potroast, too stringy. All meats and veggies that I have tried are fine. My surgeon is not against carbs, so I am allowed crackers and pasta and potatos.
I have work issues, but I hope to resolve that soon enough.
I am amazed at how I feel, and cant wait for more time to pass. I look forward to the summer when I can have fun with Kelsey at the amusement parks and such. My surgeon is awesome, and this surgery is awesome.
