"I contacted Dr. Santavicca's office and was able to schedule an appointment for the following week. His staff assisted me with verifying coverage through my insurance company which was a tremendous help. Because I have good coverage, I was able to pay the co-pay at the time of the visit and he agreed to bill the insurance company for the balance.
Dr. Santavicca is very professional and personable. He is also very friendly. He made me feel comfortable in his environment. He was very knowledgable about WLS and the challenges faced by obese individuals. Although we only had a limited amount of time together, I believe that between our session and the test results, he got a good view of who I am as a person.
My opinion of him is that he is very competent and also seems to love what he does (which always helps). Within a few days of the appointment he had the report ready, and provided a copy of it to the surgeon, the PCP and me.
I would recommend him highly."
