9 month out my journey

Well it's been 9 months since I was banded.  I'm down 83.5 lbs this has been the most amazing ride. 
As a lot of you know my surgeon doesn't like the band as well as the other surgery options.  He tried to talk me into the RNY because he felt I wouldn't be happy with the weight loss I would get with the band.  After the research I did on all the surgeries, I felt the band would be the right tool for me.  I know if I had a tool that would limit the amount of food I ate, I would make the right food choices.  I guess what me surgeon said stuck in my head and it just made me work that much harder to prove him wrong. He has a been very proud of my so far, he even made the comment that he wished more of his band patient followed the band rules like I have.  My next appointment with his is on Aug 11.  I just hope this will change his mind on how he looks at the band. 

We took the kids to see the Diamondback's play on Sunday and the mascot was throwing tee shirts out to the crowd, When he got our section he waved at me and throw it right to me. Then I when up to restroom and had one of the other big head characters follow me and trying to pinch my butt. LOL  My DH made the comment that if I would've been overweight  he wouldn't have thrown it to me.  We had a great time at the ball game even thou the Giant won.  I'm still can't believe all the energy I have and all the fun stuff I now can enjoy with my kids.
