Yes, I had my surgury Monday and just got back from my afternoon walk in the neighborhood. A neighbor stopped me and said I already look thinner? Can that be? Who cares, I do. I am doing great and want to thank everyone for the support. As you can see my neice Wendy up north is thinking of having the surgery. I hope you all support her. She is a great girl but is very unsure about the surgery. I am sure togerther we can all get her going down the right path.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Mary Jo's surgery went very well. She went in on Monday and was home Wed afternoon. She is doing great gets tired easily but nothing abnormal. Thank you all for the prayers you gave to her. I read the notes you all left to her and was sitting here crying to think how strangers can be so considerate. Aunt MJ I just want to tell you that you are the best Aunt anyone can ask for. I know that I’m not YET beginning the journey you are on. But hopefully I will be soon, please let me know if you need anything you know I’m always here for you just like you have always been there for me in the past. Good luck on your new life venture. I love you Wendy

Thank you everyone for your support. Just 33 hours to surgery. I am a basket case. What can I expect right after surgery? What can I do to stay calm till then? Thanks again your all angels!

Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. The first year it’s pretty easy, after that I’ve been hearing (I’m not speaking from experience as I’m not a year out yet) that it gets increasingly difficult. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 down 120 pounds– I’M AT GOAL!!!
