My name is Carl and I am from East Saint Louis, IL I am 41 and I have had weight problems for years. I can't even began to tell how many years but it has been a while. I meet a lady in Dec 2006 when I was 300LBS and started dating her and she had just had WLS. At the time she was 165 down from 305 and looked great. I married her and watched her as she continued to stay the same and I got bigger. In 2010 we had a daughter, Destiny and that was a shock for us because my then wife could not get pregnant or at least we thought. She had Destiny and only gained 15lbs the whole time. Mean while I am still gaining weight. I told her I was going to do the surgery and I wanted to do it with her doctor in VA and we lived in AZ at the time. I meet Dr. Anez in Nov. 2011 I think and started working on the things I needed to do before the surgery and on the first try I got approved. I got my date 5/8/12 and flow back and forth to VA from AZ. I remember one of my trips the flight attendant gave me a seat belt extender and I was too dumb to be mad. She said your gonna make her a widow keep eating and drinking like you do. I didn't even know that lady.
I did the surgery had no problems except coming out of the anesthesia and did my recovery time and went to a hotel in VA for 3 weeks. I have never looked back since. My wife is about to divorce me and i was worried about that because I have always been a stress eater but I am good.
