Nine Months Post-Op
Apr 20, 2009
There is a little downside to my story though, I've started have a little depression and anxiety, for which I'm on a low dosage antidepressant and an extremely low dosage med for the anxiety. I'm still struggling with taking in my protein shakes because I'm drinking water and eating and not adding those protein shakes into my meal plan. I workout 3 days a week, still taking my Zumba class, which I love, and am now doing twice a week instead of once. I'm also doing weight training to tone up these flabby arms and legs and trying to tone up the sagging stomach and boobs.
I'm loving my new self, still a lot to get adjusted to. I look forward to seeing how my body is going to change in another month. I hope my next post will be less than 5 months.
It's Been a while...
Nov 24, 2008
I know it's been quite some time since my last update. Well, I'm please to say, the weight is continuing to drop off, however, it seem to be a little slow for me.
I'm 4 months post op and my total weight loss as of today is 60lbs! My doctor and the nutritionist tell me that I'm losing at the rate I should be; about 3 pounds per week with an average monthly weight loss of 15 pounds per month... still seems like I should be down more. But I was told that I needed to increase my exercise from 2 days per week to at least 4 (ok maybe I am slacking in that area).
On a lighter note, the last time I updated I had a WOW moment getting into a size 18, well, now I'm in a size 16!!! I have has a little bit of shedding of my hair , but nothing to cry about, I'm not bald (LOL).
Anyway, in about 6 weeks (January 10th) I will be turning the BIG 4-0!! I'm really getting excited about that and can't wait to see what I'll look like at that time. I still have no love-life, so I'm waiting to see what God has in store for me in that area of my life.
Keep me in your prayers and I hope to update again real soon.
A WOW moment!!!

Hello Friends
Sep 26, 2008
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know I'm doing well. I've started working out. Between school and work, I've found the time to work out at least 3-4 days a week. I've started going to water aerobics in the morning, at 7:30am (get that much needed energy before work) and after work, on the days I have no class, I take a ZUMBA class, a BellyDancing class, and do weight training.
I've lost 4 inches in my waist and and 3 inches in my hips. I've dropped 2 bra sizes and 1 cup size (from a 44D to a 42C). I would like to stay in a C cup, maybe a 38 but no smaller.
I'm single now and not looking until I accomplish a few more things. I'm feel so much better about myself. Can't wait to see what lies ahead in the next few months...

I'm Feeling Much Better
Sep 11, 2008
Well, it's been 7 weeks since my surgery. I feel WONDERFUL!!! I went to a Zumba class on Tuesday and had a great workout. I also went back to work and started using my 2lbs dumb bell weights to help firm up the flabby arms.
I'm still only 37lbs down, but I think now that I'm more active, that will decrease soon. My pants are very loose. I have a couple of pairs I put on and pull off without unbuttoning (that's something). I took my first picture, post-op, and couldn't believe how I looked. My dress was a little big, and I still have a ways to good, but not to toot my on horn, I thought I was looking a little sexy!!!
I can't wait to see how I'm going to look in 30 more pounds!!
5 Weeks Post Op
Aug 27, 2008
Anyway, I'm 37 pounds lighter!! I wish it were more, but because I haven't felt well, I have really been exercising. I bought my daughter the Wii fitness and tried that a few times, but the nausea just seemed to keep me down.
I haven't been able to drink my protein shakes at all; can't stand to look at them! I'm really tired of eating just meat and dairy... ready for some veggies and fruit.
Two Weeks Post-OP
Aug 04, 2008
I spoke with my doctor today about that and the nurse told me that the lack of energy was one of the major complaints, but as long as I'm doing everything I'm supposed to it'll soon pass. I started a new protein drink. It's New Whey Liquid Protein. My favorite is grape; it has 42g of protein!www.idssports.com
Hopefully in the next few days I'll start feeling more energetic.
5 Days Post Op
Jul 26, 2008
All I can think about now is the neverending steps ahead of the journey I've chosen. I'm really excited about everything. Since I started my 2 week pre-op on July 7th and my surgery, I'm down 17lbs! I know it's going to be slow the first few weeks, and that's ok, because I know the weeks ahead will be wonderful and exciting!!!
Thanks to all my OH friends for your well wishes and to Ms. Lorena for you phone call (I have to call you back).
Love you all.
