Three Months Out
Nov 07, 2007
I am 3 months out and 47lbs down since my surgery, but and this is the great part, I am 97lbs since January, 3lbs from the century mark. I have never lost that much in my life (unless and pardon the old joke if you count my ex-husband). This feels so good, I enjoy waking up in the morning, taking walks around my neighborhood, walking at my job. Everyone asks what type of exercise am I doing and I tell them walking, it only cost the price of a good pair of sneakers and the view is well worth it. Used to be when I went to store I spent more time in the parking lot looking for the closest parking space than I did in the store, now I deliberately park in the back, because I trully appreciate each step. Take a look at my pictures I just came back from Savannah GA, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

My date is getting closer
Jul 26, 2007
This is something I needed to add, I have my date, been on this journey since June 06. So glad that it is here... but also a little nervous.. Into my 4th day of my liquid diet and of all things to dream about... how about chocolate covered peanuts... it seemed everyone in my dreams were eating them.. that is so sad... but it helps to have a sense of humor...
Until we chat again

My Denial
Jan 18, 2007
I received my denial letter, even though I was under a Dr's care for 6 months the documentation was not sufficient to grant the surgery. So, I begin my journey again, hopefully in June, I will have the documentation required. I know this time I will not allow my fate to be in anyone's hands but my own. I met with my Dr. we went over the requirements, I have been on a diet for 2 weeks, incorporating exercise and she has presscribed an appetite suppressant. Will meet with a bariatric doctor in 3 months...Whew... this just has to work....
