Bye Bye Smokers Tan

Feb 03, 2011

I made it one more day smoke free. Go me! I noticed a couple of days ago I am losing my "smokers tan", so it wasn't my imagination after all! When I started smoking I could have sworn the color of my skin changed from pale pink to pale pink with yellow undertones. Everyone said I was nuts. Then when I quit I noticed I was starting to look, well, light again. Other people noticed too. A couple of my coworkers have commented on how pale I look. It's not that I'm pale, I really think it's because the poisons in the cigarettes are finally clearing out of my body and my blood pressure has gone down a little so my cheeks aren't always so rose red.

While mentally I still think I want a cigarette sometimes I am really proud of myself for not caving in! The one time I did I got so dizzy I thought I was going to pass out. Now the idea of having that feeling again is enough to deter me from lighting up.

No news in regards to doctors or surgeons. Waiting to hear from my cousin before contacting my doctor... So I'll just keep on waiting.
