Holidays and the New Year

Jan 17, 2015

I was a little scared to go home for the holidays and be with my huge and wonderful Mexican family, they always make a feast out of everything and now we were celebrating the holidays and me going home, and celebrating my successful recovery with food... For God's sake, lol!!!! I behaved very well during my vacation and I actually cooked for them but I was not able to eat any of my food or their food, I though temptation was going to be hard, but I realized my will power is stronger, I was always weak around potatoes chips and this time I was the one who conquered my cravings... I'm glad to inform you that during my 2 week vacation back home I lost 14 lbs... I came home scared to get on the scale and when I did the feeling was amazing... Now that the new year is here I'm more motivated than before to work out and continue losing, I have several trips this year and my best friend's wedding and I'm determined to rock my dress....

29 days Post Op - Weight GAIN

Dec 16, 2014

It is normal to gain weight before 1 more post op?

I am a revision and as of today December 16th, 2014 I've lost 16.6 pounds (but on 12/9/14 I was on 19 less) so I gained almost 3 lbs in a week.  I am eating my 60 grams of protein, I am eating my 2-4 oz. of grilled chicken or salmon, 1-2oz of vegetables, I’m not eating sugar, fruits, flour, anything that I am not supposed to, so now I am concern that I am gaining weight, is this normal? Please help because I am so disappointed and asking myself if I did the right thing this time.

11/18/14  Surgery Day       324 lbs

12/4/14    14 days post op  310.6 lbs

12/9/14    22 days post op  305.6 lbs

12/16/14  29 days post op  308.0 lbs

Dissapointed

Dec 04, 2014

Today I had my 3 week appointment (technically 2 1/2 weeks) and the first 6 days I lost 10 pounds, and now from day 6 to day 17 (11 Days) I only lost 4 pounds. I've been in a liquid diet since my surgery day (11/18/14) so I assumed I was going to lose more weight. Is this normal?

I want to claw off my tummy!!, I've been itchy since day five but yesterday and today have been unbearable. All of my 4 incisions are red around it and bumpy, and they itch like a mo%€$ f^¥€£ . Could I be having an allergic reaction of the glue???i am 9 days post op. There no glue where the drain was and that the only incision that is not red.. Any suggestions??

9 month follow up

Jun 21, 2007

Dear friends:
I am already 9 months out of surgery and it has been the best and happiest days of my entire life.. I don't feel pain, I actually never felt the pain I was expected and I am 102 lbs thinner. hahahaa.... I still want to lose another 100lbs but it will take time, I think one more year.. But that is fine, as long as I dont gain any weight everything its GOODDDD!! I went from size 30 - 32 to size 24 - 22 in 9 months.. I have some jeans size 24 and they are loose, and I have some 22 and they are tight, so, I think I am size 23, but I don't think they carry size 23.. anyways... on my 6 month follow up, I told you I had developed allergies, well, let me tell you, I did not... Actually it was my CPAP machine for my sleep apnea.. I was using 15 of pressure and now I am using 9, still high but I think I still need to use it, sometimes I don't use it and I wake up in the middle of the night to put it on..so I don't know if I wake up because I'm worried that I don't have it on or becuase I really need it..
Ok, I have to go because I am so sleepy.
I wll update you later.

6 months Post Op

Mar 20, 2007

Ok, so I went to my 6 month follow up today and I have lost a total of 74 lbs. mmm.. not good, not bad, not enough. I wanted to lose a total of  100 for my 6 month, but I didn't, but also I have some excuses, I did not work out for 2 months because I went back to school full time and I am working full time and also I am taking some online courses and my schedule is all booked everyday, and the 2nd excuse is that when I have free time I'm sick. I been having allergies, actually, i developed allergies 2 months post op and its been rough because I have a runny nose most of the time, my doctor told me today that I might be my CPAP machine, because I haven't change the pressure and he says that he does not think that I need that much pressure, so I will have another sleep study in a month so my PCP can check the pressure of my CPAP. So, this is my story, 74 in 6 months, and a total of 86lbs in 7 months.. Oh well, Finally I am under 300.. this is great.

I am sad.. I’m disappointed and… SAD!!! You know, I set up goals for me, and 2 of my goals were to lose 50 lbs for my first 3 months and then 100 lbs for my first 6 months, after that I was going to take it slow... But I have failed... I only accomplished my first goal, I did lose the 50 lbs for my first 3 months, but after that I just stopped losing weight... Well, I did not stop and I did not lose that much. I am 22 days away to my 6th month anniversary and I have lost only 19 lbs in 2 months and 9 days... What is going on? I just don’t get it. I am doing everything right, taking my vitamins, my protein, exercising, eating healthy (I’m not eating out, I am cooking with NO FAT) eating veggies and fruits, eating small portion of 3 to 4 oz. drinking my water… What else can I do? I am saddddd!!!!!!!!
