I had my checkup today.everything went great. I'm down 34 pounds total. He said thats great. I was released for full excercise, yay! And my blood pressure is very good.all in all I feel wonderful so far. I'm trying out new foods so its hit and miss but I'll get it. 

hello! Well I'm over2 weeks out. Tomorrow I see my surgeon. My incision sights are almost healed.I am fealing great. On pureed food now still drinking protein of course. Can't get enough protein to make it high enough for the day.but its getting better every day.no problems getting my water in.cafein free hot tea is my favorite.so I drinklots of things. My foods I like are tuna, cottage cheese , egg, string cheese, caned chicken made into chicken salad, I even dice a slice of tomato, use spicy mustrard and mrs. Dash.mmm delish.lol

So yeah, loving my progress. Let's see what the dr. Says. I've lost 7 lbs since surgery day..I'm happy.

Surgery went well. I got there bright and early on Monday morning.they got me right back.for some reason I was so very calm.I knew my life was about to change for the better I guess.I woke up super groggy ,in pain but totally with it.the nicest people were taking care of me.all day,I slept on and off and sucked on ice chips. About 3 little cups of them. I had 2 small walks down the hall. I was on a morphine pump that day. The next day I kept the morphine pump.was given clear liquids.I wasn't nauseous at all.I haven't had any trouble getting my liquids down. I made 4 laps around the floor.rest rest and more rest.I can't say enough about how great the staff was at Memorial hospital in Savannah. 

Okay, So I have been on my liquid diet for a whole week now. Its been going very well.I've lost about 8 pounds so far.I've only dealt with a little headache here and there. But I feel like this next week will fly by.I'm just keeping myself busy with christmas stuff and preperation.I'm so very excited.

I got my surgery date!  Dec. 22 nd. Is surgery. My time is almost here. I'm so happy . I have pre surgery on the 17th and start liquids on the 8th. I would love to loose like 6 pounds on my liquids pre surgery. I haven't had to loose any weight pre surgery, only maintain. So that would be nice to start with.  

So there was a mix up at my insurance company with the fax of my claim. My dr.s office had to resubmit to a different fax number. They toldme to call back the yesterday(a total of two days) and I got approved! wooHoo!! The insurance authorized me for dec 9/10 th . Anybody else have this? Where you have approval for certain days? Well they already talked to sarah at my dr. Whipples office so maybe they set that date. Iwont know until Monday the surgerydate. I'm on cloud nine.

I called my insurance company today, coventry medicare, and I am still waiting for an answer. I know its only been about 5business days, but I couldn't help myself. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hello friends!

 So there has been a lot of waiting going on in my world lately.I had my very last appointment on my checklist on october 14th. 2days shy of a month ago. It was for my psych eval. Who knew it would take this long to get the report to my surgeons office? Well I'm so glad it finally arrived because today I got the call that I have been submitted to my Coventry medicare insurance provider for clearance for surgery! Yay! I'm finally at the end of this long road. Down to the last 2 weeks.I can look back on these long months and see what I've been fighting so hard for. I can see some of the sacrifices I have made to make my life a healthy and happy one. And I can glimpse into the road I have ahead of me. I'm so excited to continue on this journey of wellness.to improve my life, to fight for a stronger and healthier yetta.

So yesterday I had my full day of appointments. I got my cardiology clearance. They did a stress test and an ekg. Everything went well. Then after that I went to take my psych eval. The first part was a 358 questionaire all true false. Then I had to go back for the session . It was all easygoing. The psychiatrist has the lap band so she coud totally relate. All went well there.Dr. whipple should have my clearances today or tomorrow. Next and final, I have got to make time to get this fasting bloodwork done. And on Saturday I finish my checklist with the back to basics seminar/class from 9am to 2 pm. I can't believe I'm so close to done! About a week after that, the surgery scheduler will call me. I'm so ready and excited . I hope that I get scheduled on or around November 6th. That's my 40th birthday and I can't think of a better present to myself than good health!

So yesterday I had filled my day full of appointments. It seemed the easiest thing to do since I am having my rny at Memorial hospital in Savannah Georgia and I live about a hour south of there. I didn't want to have to keep making trips. I had my upper gi which was a barium swallow. The weirdest test ever I would say.then my ekg, then a exercise seminar. Last but surely not least, the nutrition seminar and one on one with the dietitian. I've gained a couple pounds. (Oops. I knew I had. Its been a rough few weeks) she warned me not to gain any more.I started using my fitness pal today. Its going to be rough for me to get into that habit but I'm up for the challenge :)
