5 month Surgiversary

Mar 26, 2009

Wow, I can't believe that it's been 5 months already! Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday, I was anxiously waiting for approval from my insurance! Wow, Wow, Wow.
I can't say enough how happy I am that I made the decision to have this surgery. After many months of research, I knew this was the best decision for me. I notice that I move around more and feel so much lighter. My knees  and ankles no longer hurt. I've been doing a total revamp of my backyard and my back doesn't hurt like it used to before. Sure it hurts alittle but nowhere near what it used to.
It's really a great feeling to wear my old clothes and be down a couple of sizes. I've lost 62 lbs in 5 months and just KNOW that without surgery, I would not have been able to lose even 10 lbs. It's nice to workout and actually see results. Before, I was working out and it was really frustrating that I wasn't losing weight or inches.
Actually, I'm having to get rid of about 90% of my closet because I only have 3 or 4 pairs of pants that still fit and 2 of those 4 are on the loose side. On one hand, it kind of stinks because I just bought some of these clothes and on the other, I GET TO BUY MORE. YAY! The best part is that I'll be able to find something and feel like I look good in it. It had been a very long time since I could say that.
Oh and I've gotten alot more compliments lately about looking too young to have 2 teenage sons. I got them before but now, I get them so much more often and keep hearing that I look like i'm in my 20s. That is a nice compliment!
