I was always average, not overweight or underweight, until I hit High School.  Then I started to gain weight when I was 17, my boyfriend and I would eat lots of junk food and I wasn't active in sports so I gained about 10 extra lbs.  Then the next year I got pregnant and went off the deep end, eating very poorly (I loved Maple Bars) with the old "eating for two" excuse I packed on 60 lbs and I just kept it on for the next few years.  With each subsequent pregnancy (4 altogether) I would add on a few more pounds until last year I topped off at 334 and went to OHSU for Gastric Bypass.
With 4 daughters and the youngest one being 3 I knew I needed a change and I'm sorry but Weight Watchers just wasn't doing it for me!  I was always comfortable being overweight (at least that's what I told myself) but as I got older it was  harder to keep up with my kids.  Then I went and had another baby and had to start all over, that is when I realized I really needed to get my health back!  Chasing after a toddler is not for older fat people!  Now it is getting easier...
