Hello everyone, Just wanted to say thank you for all the encouragement. Surgery went well 5/25/05 discharged from the hospital Sat 5/28. Minor set back with a left lung atelectasis and a fever of 101.9. Still went home on antibiotics I guess it has benefits of being a nurse...Main concern no leaks...Post op doing well not as bad as I thought it would be. Up and around although still get week and tired by the end of the day. Having a hard time getting in all the protein shakes and liquids. Just keep trying. Currently down 18 lbs. I have my follow up appointment Thursday with the nutritionist and Dr. Gastweirt. Dr. Gastweirt is fabulous...She made this a very easy and pleasant expierience considering. Well I'll be in touch.
