Bariatric Surgery Program at White Plains Hospital

Located in Westchester County, the Bariatric Surgery Program at White Plains Hospital is a comprehensive program focused on helping our patients that struggle with obesity to achieve their weight loss goals and optimal health. Led by Dr. Philip Weber, our experienced team of weight loss surgery professionals includes Doctors, a Bariatric Coordinator, Nurses, a Nutritionist, a Psychologist, Social Workers, and a Physical Therapist. Dedicated to helping you, our entire team works together to support you on every step of your new healthy lifestyle. Your care, comfort, and safety are our greatest concerns.

The Bariatric Surgery Program at White Plains Hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Center under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a joint program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). What this means for our patients is that you’ll be in a multidisciplinary program, and not just receive a surgical procedure. These high standards improve our patients’ outcomes and success for the long-term. With our accreditation, we provide both preoperative and postoperative care designed with the utmost care and safety in mind for severely obese patients.

    Bariatric Surgery in New York

Dr. Weber and the Bariatric Surgery Program at White Plains Hospital team offer two different types of weight loss surgery, the Laparoscopic Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass (RNY) and Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG). When possible, the procedures are done laparoscopically with just a few small incisions. This minimally invasive approach helps our patients with quicker healing time, less pain, fewer complications, and allows patients to quickly get back to their normal daily routine.

With your long-term success in mind, we hold a bi-monthly wellness workshop! The workshops are facilitated by our Bariatric Coordinator, Sandi Gallo. During the meetings, we invite guest speakers to share educational presentations to support you on your journey. Our guests often include Life Coaches, Plastic Surgeons, Physical Therapists and more. These meetings are a fantastic way for you to learn, as well as to connect with other bariatric surgery patients.
