I had a RNY in Feb of 2017 by another Surgeon that was then revised 5 times by that surgeon as well as another with no success. I was unable to process any foods and was throwing up 30-35 times daily. After serveral ER visits, I was prescribed to go on TPN to add nutrition directly into my bloodstream through a PICC line. My throwing up was reduced to about 7 times a day then through medication, I was down to 1-3 times a day throwing up. I was on TPN for nearly a year and was referred to Dr Akshay Chauhan, After several visits for testing and endoscopy's, he scheduled and performed my Reversal Surgery which was completed in Oct 2018. I've not thrown up as of this review and feel like I have my life back thanks to Dr Chauhan.

In the beginning my experience was a little rocky but with the encouragement for my surgeon and just barely reaching my goals to qualify for my surgery I must say doctor Chauhan. Was the most patient and kind surgeon I have ever met he did a wonderful job not just with my surgery but with keeping me focused on the task at hand I highly recommend him for any bariatric surgery especially if you are very doubtful not only of yourself but of the procedure he gave me great clarity and understanding of what I was about to endure and it's been a great experience that's far and I am proud to say that I am 40 lbs down for my surgery wait and I am only 4 days away from being a month out I would also like to take time out to thank him for being so kind and understanding.

I sugery 7-29-19 my bypass has been great and he takes care of he's patins I recommend 100% good work careing person thank u docter and hope seeing good results hope to achive my goals and has helped with my pcos a lot thank you to all the staff there

Because of the complex nature of my medical situation, I was referred to Dr Chauhan — though I do not live in the Aurora/Denver area.
I had a Roux-en-Y procedure done in April 2019 and have been overjoyed with the results. Dr Chauhan and his team (including Dr Carruth) were wonderful, skillful, compassionate, and dedicated to my health & recovery.

Last Year Dr. Chauhan performed a gastric sleeve on me. The surgery has been a God send! I suffered from metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure borderline diabetic, knee issues and low self esteem. Now I have a new lease on life I swim 3 times a week participate in water aerobics bicycle throughout the week and have participated in two 5K runs! I look in the mirror and don't even recognize myself. I have my life back! Thank you Dr. Chauhan

I truly do not know what I would have have done without his listening and understanding of what was going on with me and my situation. Since my surgery, my life has completely turned around for the better. I'm losing the weight, walking better, off diabetes medications and regaining control of my life. I'm starting to recognize me again.

Chauhan is an amazing surgeon. I walked into his office weighing 420LBS and I started this Journey just about a year ago today 6/11/2019 and I am at 281.2 LBS. With out this surgery and Chauhan and his team I would have not been here for my Children and my wife. Chauhans Team, Typhany Beasley, Tina Galette, The nutrition team, Nurses all of them literally SAVED my life. I could not thank such an amazing group of people. Dr. Chauhan has amazing bedside manner. I had the gastric sleeve done on June 6th , 2018. When I started my journey I weighted 265 pounds I now weight 210. Dr. Chauhan helped me with my decision to have the sleeve verses the gastric bypass. He explained to me that my metabolism was different than my mothers and I was a better candidate for the sleeve. Dr. Chauhan always explains things in a way that I can understand it, When Dr, Chauhan comes into the room he is always excited to see his patients and wants to know what is new in my personal life, I was so pleased with the way that Dr. Chauhan took my other medical issues so serious. Almost 3 weeks out of a conversion surgery from Lap-band to Bypass and hernia repair. Things have gone better then expected and have lost 15lbs already! Dr. Akshay Chauhan has been so supportive and helpful. I have had a much better experience then when I had the Lap-Band done at a different Dr.. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about weight loss surgery. Thank you to all the staff that have made this a positive experience for me.
