The Western Bariatric, AMC team understands that the decision to undergo bariatric surgery can be a difficult one. That is why our team is devoted to providing you with the education and support that you need to make the best-informed decision for your individual health and weight loss goals. We work with each and every patient to customize a weight loss plan for them, whether that be bariatric surgery or a non-surgical approach.

Founded by Dr. Douglas Krahn, the Western Bariatric, AMC is located in the Inland Empire and is proud to serve the communities of Riverside, San Bernardino, and the surrounding areas of Southern California. All surgeries are performed at Parkview Community Hospital or St. Bernardine Medical Center. Both are designated as an accredited comprehensive center through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). This prestigious designation acknowledges that our bariatric program meets the rigorous national standards for patient safety and bariatric care.

Led by highly-skilled bariatric surgeon, Dr. Douglas Krahn, the Western Bariatric, AMC team provides bariatric surgery options in beautiful Southern California. We offer minimally invasive bariatric surgeries including the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass with or without the Silastic Ring, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Adjustable Gastric Banding (Lap-Band), and bariatric surgery revisions. There are also options for medically supervised weight loss that includes nutritional counseling, exercise, hormone therapy, and appetite suppressants.

In addition to supporting you before and during surgery, we will be there for you after surgery with thorough follow-up appointments and interactive support group meetings.
