Dr. Mirza is a leading provider of weight loss surgery in the area. He has been voted as Top Bariatric Surgeon by H Texas Magazine 5 years in a row. 2011- 2015. He is a fellowship trained specialist in the area of laparoscopic bariatric surgery.Dr. Mirza attended Damascus University Medical School, where he also completed his surgical residency. He also completed a surgical residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Ohio, and went on to serve as the director of minimally invasive surgery and surgical endoscopy. He received his advanced fellowship training in laparo-endoscopic and laparoscopic Bariatric surgery at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Mirza has been in practice for over 15 years. He is currently the Medical Director of First Street Hospital center of excellence bariatric program, and the medical director of Bariatric Care Centers PA, in Houston, Texas.
