Dr. Newhoff seems very knowledgable and is not hesitant to answer any question.

His staff seems knowledgable. He definetely addresses all the risks and does not sugar coat anything. At the same time, he is confident and reassuring.

At first I was not sure what to think, I had'ent had any good experiences with the Dr's in Az. he seemed to be a bit arrogant. He first mentioned not to ask any questions until he finished speaking, well that took 3 1/2 and hrs, by the time he finished he had answered everyones questions and also by this time I realized that I was wrong. Dr Newhoff was very through, very experienced with 20years and 3000+ surgeries behind him. He does emhasize the aftercare program before surgery as well as after. He knows his job very well and has a great bedside manner, I don't think that I could have picked a more competent Dr. He is one of the best it also helps knowing that is a Trauma Surgeon also.

My first impression of Dr. Newhoff is mixed with all the overwhelming emotions of taking the first step towards bariatric surgery. I was impressed at my first session how he went over the details of the surgery and demonstrated the actual procedure. Dr. Newhoff did not hesitate to answer any questions I had. As a matter of fact, he was so thorough and convincing that my mother, who had come along on a lark, signed up to have the same surgery done that day. The staff at Dr. Newhoff's office is caring and patient.

Despite all my research, I was not prepared for the amount of pain I experienced after surgery. It felt like someone dropped a refrigerator on my chest! I also has a great deal of unexpected hair loss. Other than that, I've had few side effects.

Dr. Newhoff does have an aftercare program, but because my visits to his office entail a four-hour drive I don't attend the sessions. I do, however, visit his office for bi-monthly check ups and I feel free to call him with any concerns. He is extremely straight and honest with me and I enjoy the office visits. Overall, my experience has been an extremely positive one.

Dr. Newhoff has been doing gastric bypass surgery for over 17 years. He is very experienced and knowledgeable regarding the surgery. I would recommend him very highly.
