I know that no one can be best in all aspects but I feel that Dr. Kramer comes as close to perfect that anyone could and everyone else that I have heard say anything about him would agree but I would be glad to answer any specifics.

When I walked into Dr. Kramer's office it was not what I had expected. Normally in an office thier are pictures and diplomas or something to that effect hanging on the wall, but his office was nice simple and basically to the point. I dont know if it was because Dr. Kramer is just moving his practice to this office or not. My first thought of him was intimidation. I wasnt real sure if he was going to talk first of if I should. I soon found that he would talk first. It wasnt long before he was asking me stuff, and if I didnt understand what he was saying he would go back over it. Dr. Kramer did not make me feel like I was rushed, and made that I chose the procedure that I wanted to have done. He was very up front and forth-coming about the dangers of the surgery's and basically said that if I wasnt ready to change my life forever then I should not have the surgery done. I would highly recomend anyone to go and vist Dr. Kramer and his office staff.

HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. HE SEEMED TO BE A FAMILY MAN AND BELIEVED IN GOD. I WAS A LITTLE SCARED BUT OVER TIME I HAD MUCH RESPECT AND COMPLETE TRUST IN DR.K. HE OFFICE STAFF IS WONDERFUL. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT DR.K. OR HIS STAFF. AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW HIS EXACT DIRECTIONS YOUR SURGERY WILL BE A SUCCESS. DR.K TELLS YOU THAT LIKE WITH ANY SURGERY THERE ARE RICKS. AND HE WONT DO THE SURGERY UNTILL ALL YOUR QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. I THINK DR.K IS A WONDERFUL DR. AND WOULD RECOMEND HIM TO ALL. BOTH ARE GREAT WHEN IT COMES TO SURGICAL COMPETENCE AND BEDSIDE MANNER. HOWEVER I DID NOT LIKE THE STAFF ON THE 3RD FLOOR AFTER SURGERY. WHEN I WAS IN THE ICU THE NURSING STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. WHEN THEY MOVED ME TO MY OWN ROOM IT WAS LIKE THE NURSES FORGOT I WAS THERE AND I HAD TO FEND FOR MYSELF. THAT I DIDNT LIKE. BUT OVER ALL IT WAS OKAY. MY ONLY ADVICE TO THOSE ABOUT TO HAVE SURGERY IS TO WALK AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN ONCE OUT OF SURGERY. IT WILL MAKE THE HEALING PROCESS SO MUCH EASIER. I WAS UP AND WALKING 3-4 HOURS AFTER SURGERY AND WAS MAKING 4-5 LAPS AROUND THE ICU ROOM AND FLOOR. IT HELPED ME SO MUCH AND THE NURSES SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN SOMEONE WANT TO WALK SO MUCH.THIS WAS ONLY MY OPINION. YOU CAN DECIDE FOR YOURSELF ON HOW THE TREATMENT IS.

I found Dr.Kramer to be very easy to talk to,very informative, and not rushed through on my consultation. I feel like he truly cares about his patients. He went through all of the good points of the surgery and also went over the complications that could happen. He does stress aftercare, he also stresses the need for the support group which he has on Monday evenings. He explains how this is really a tool, and will only do so much, but you have to be willing to do what it takes to be successful and combined with the surgery and you following what needs to be done then you will have a very successful surgery. Since this was my first visit on 9-7-04..I have nothing but good things to say at this time..His office staff was personable .

Dr. Kramer took extra time with me on the first visit to show me how the procedure would work and all the risks associated with it. What I was impressed with is that he gave me this incredible big thick book about step to step guide what is going to happen to me before surgery, during surgery, after sugery, and the foods I'll be able to eat afterwards.
Last time I saw Dr. Kramer, btw he had the surgery himself about 3 weeks ago Monday, he was in a bad mood. What I thought to be a bad mood. Maybe it was because I brought my family on the last visit. I figure since they are my support group they need to be there and informed as well as me. Maybe that ticked him off a little. I dunno!!!!

I would advise anyone who could travel to see Dr. Kramer and Dr. Robert Sass to at least talk with them before having the surgery. After all you could live to be 100 but what quality of life would you have?

I was very impressed with Dr. Kramer the first time I saw him. He is very easy to talk to and I didn't feel like he was in a hurry to get out of the room, like with some other doctors I have seen. I still like Dr. K. alot. His office staff is nice, especially his nurse Cathy. He is very straight forward with his patients, good or bad. He doesn't hold any punches. That's good, but sometimes I like things to be a little sugarcoatd.

He has a support group that he runs with his partner. They are both there every week. I was surprised by that. I didn't think a doctor would take the time to do that. He is very big on aftercare. He will fuss at you if you don't follow his advice.

The best way that I can rate Dr. K. is to say that I would have the surgery all over again as long as he was my doctor.

First impression was wonderful. When I saw him he was having a good belly laugh about something some one had done in the office. He was super nice. Wasn't judgemental, degrading, etc. As a matter of fact he said if he made it to a 35 bmi (he was at a 32) that he was going to have wls.

Office staff is superb. Very friendly, caring.

Required to attend 3 weekly meetings before surgery. Strongly suggested to continue those meetings afterward.

Dr. Kramer was very informative about the surgery pros and cons. He didn't beat around the bush.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. KRAMER WAS THAT HE IS A CARING PERSON . THE OFFICE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL NO MATTER HOW MANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE YOU CAN CALL AND THEY WILL BE GLAD TO HELP EVEN WHEN YOU MISS YOUR APPOINTMENT THEY ARE VERY UNDERSTANDING. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. KRAMER.HE HAS A VERY GOOD AFTERCARE PROGRAM.THE INTIAL CONSULTATION YOU ARE GIVEN A BOOK THAT ANSWERS MANY BEFORE AND AFTER QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE SURGERY. DR. KRAMER ALONG WITH DR. SASS TEACHES THE SUPPORT GROUP WHICH ADDRESS THE RISK OF THE SURGERY. YOU ALSO SIGN A PERMISSION OR CONSENT FORM STATING THE RISK OF THE SURGERY. DR. KRAMER IS A VERY COMPASSIONATE SURGEON AND HE HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR.
