I have been waiting to comment until after my surgery. I think she is nice and very professional. When I first saw her, she did not strike my as what I picture as a surgeon, she looks so young--or it's because I am older than her! She has small hands, which I think would be an asset if they are going to be inside your belly.
My surgery was a revision of VGB by a open RNY, so she did do a little extra planning and lots of extra work, I think. It has been 13 days now and I think I am doing well. Other than losing a lot of blood because of all the adhesions from other surgeries I had no other complications. Since I haven't had any nausea or vomiting, she took out my G-tube today. I would've hugged for that if I wasn't laid out on the exam table!
I had my 1st meeting with Dr. McBride today and I thought she was great. I think that she is very understanding to those that suffer from obesity and was very attentive to my comments and questions. She advised me of the 2 surgery options she thought would be best for me and explained each prosedure in depth so that I could make an educated decision. I think she is great.
