Dr. Baranov and his staff were great. I started the program in October. They scheduled everything for me. I just had to be there. They made it easy for me. I just had my surgery and I've lost 50 lbs since the start. I couldn't be more happier. Thank you Dr. Baranov and his staff.

I was a bit nervous leading up to surgery but Dr Baranov eased my mind. He went to great lengths to explain the whole process and answer any questions or concerns I may have had. I’m so glad he was my surgeon as he did a fabulous job. I highly recommend going in for a consultation if your thinking about this type of procedure. 5 stars!!

A little added information I felt the need to disclose. I was surprised that Dr. Baranov, himself, called me on a Sunday morning to ask how I was feeling, what my blood glucose levels were, and if I had any concerns. It isn’t everyday that your surgeon reaches out to you on a Sunday. I am a surgical nurse myself and I feel I definitely made to the correct choice of surgeon to manage my care plan. Thank you Dr. Baranov for all you have done for me!

What a relief it was to find Dr. Baranov and his team! The Bariatric process is very laid out and every step is planned which made it less stressful on me. Dr. B is willing to help you, but you have to be willing to help yourself too! Before surgery, I was on weight loss medication which helped me before having surgery. The actual surgery day was well planned and easy for me to navigate. I knew what to expect from start to finish. Dr. B came to see me before surgery, and spoke to my family after. He came with his PA Rachel the next morning to see how I was as well. The nurses at the hospital were super! His infamous green sheet has led my after care perfectly. Dr. B even called me at home a few days after surgery to see how I was doing. I would highly recommend this program. You are in tremendous hands.

You will feel very equipped with what steps you need to accomplish before surgery (and after your procedure). My surgical experience (March 2022) was wonderful and without any complications. Nurse Karen was terrific and very thorough with my care and everyone was very friendly at the hospital. Never did I doubt Dr. Baranov’s skill or desire to improve my health during this process. He even called me at home on a Sunday afternoon to see how I was feeling a few days post-op! Dr. B, along with his PA’s and nutritionists are part of my health-care team for the long-term. I know that they are all rooting for my success and health moving forward. It’s great to have the support and encouragement after years of struggling alone with weight loss.

6 months ago, I contacted Dr. Barnov's office to start my weight loss journey. From the very beginning everyone in the office was super helpful and very friendly, any questions where answered professionally and carefully.
I went with the gastric sleeve and 4 days out of surgery and I feel amazing. It was not always easy and I did struggle with the pre OP diet, but so worth the effort.
I am looking forward to the future and cant Thank Dr. Barnov and his staff enough.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr B and his wonderful staff recently when I decided to make a life change. I attended a webinar which led me into the office asking more questions which led me to feeling like the new person I feel today. I could not have asked for a better experience. Dr B is wonderful. He really listens to your concerns, and answers any questions you may have. The process is flawless. From the check in ladies to the PA’s, Nurses and Nutrition staff, I could not have felt in better hands. I cannot forget about Dr B’s scheduler who worked magic during COVID to make sure surgeries were still happening and keeping to the mandates. She was amazing to work with. She had everything all written down in an easy to read sheet with everything you needed to know. They left minimal things for me to have to worry about. His office is ran like a well oiled machine. If you are having any thoughts of doing this, I suggest attending the webinar. You won’t be sorry you did.

I am 1 week post-op and feeling amazing. I walk everyday and do all of the things I was before but with more energy. I have used Tylenol once since being home and that was for a headache. I felt good the day I left the hospital. It was a very easy surgery and recovery has been simple. Follow Dr B green sheet and you can’t go wrong. Sip, sip, sip… walk, walk , walk. My only regret during this process was being afraid of the word surgery and not taking the time to educate myself sooner.

I had my gastric Bypass done on Dec 6th 2021,, I have had 3 C sections, Two umbilical hernia repairs w mesh & a sygmoidectomy..This surgery was the smoothest ,virtually pain free procedure I ever experienced Tylenol was all I needed for day one and two post op . Less than a week I am back to my old self. The whole office staff from the receptionists to the Dr. himself are kind and compassionate. The offices are clean comfortable and you are seen in a very timely fashion.. I am so happy I did my research & followed the other fabulous reviews for Saratoga Bariatric &

I recently had weight loss surgery with Dr. Baranov. Dr Baranov and his team made my journey to a healthier me as easy as possible. It took me a long time to be ready for surgery and take that initial step to go see Dr. B. and his team. Once I did I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and personalized feeling every time I met with him or his staff. Dr. Baranov was very patient with me, answering any questions I had all along the way. All of my requirements for the program were explained to me from day one. There were no surprises or unexpected bumps in the road. I followed exactly what he told me to do and had surgery just about two months to the day I met Dr Baranov. While this is not usual or to be expected I knew I was ready, what I wanted and was able to meet all the goals of his program in that time period.
Surgery day I felt more excited than nervous and Dr. Baranov was right there that morning to ease my nerves and answer any last minute questions too! I had little to no pain from the time I woke up in recovery! My experience in the Saratoga hospital was honestly like a hotel, just with competent medical staff! Dr. Baranov was well known and respected by the other medical staff I encountered while in the hospital. Dr. Baranov personally called my nurse to check on me at the hospital and even a few days later at home on a Sunday evening! That is what I call a fantastic doctor that really cares about his patients!
I have virtually had no pain since surgery, and while this is just the start of my lifestyle change journey it has been a positive one thus far thanks to Dr. Baranov and his team. Dr. Baranov and his entire staff are fantastic and second to none! Making the decision to have weight loss surgery was not easy for me after having multiple complications and difficulties historically with my stomach and intestines. That always weighing on my mind, I spent almost a year after my PCP recommended looking into gastric surgery researching the procedures and reading patient experiences across the country. Finally, I decided to attend the informational seminar offered by one of the best doctors in the country. Dr. Baranov explained the process and answered any and all questions thoroughly with easy to understand terminology. His compassion for patients and passion for his work are obvious, and he goes the extra mile to ensure you totally understand the process and risks. The office staff from the individuals who check you in, to the Nurses, PAs, Appointment Scheduler, Nutritionists, and everyone at hospital are stellar!

Leading up to the procedure it is natural to have reservations about going through with it, especially if you lose a considerable amount of weight leading up to the procedure. I can personally appreciate these thoughts, but would advise anyone who is looking into Bariatric Surgery, there is a reason you are looking into it and it will help you achieve a weight that is healthy for you and will allow you to live a long life with your loved ones.

After the procedure, Dr. Baranov visited my room in the hospital multiple times as did one of the PAs on the evening of discharge from the hospital to ensure I was ready to go home. Dr. Baranov personally called on a Sunday night after surgery to check how I was doing and answer any questions I had about the procedure or anything else. I am extremely happy to have made the decision to have bariatric surgery, and highly recommend Dr. Baranov and his INCREDIBLE staff if you are looking for weight loss options!
