This is the absolute kindest doctor I have ever met. He really takes the time to get to know you personally and help you through any problems, questions or doubts before and after your surgery.
The staff is also extremely helpful and they always have a smile on their face.
If I had any complaint it would be that the wait time in the office can sometimes run a little long, but I think it's because he spends so much time with each patient to make sure they are doing well.

I am a Kaiser patient and Dr Yadegar came to talk to us about WLS (in April 2010). He is not a "kaiser" doctor but contract with them for any patients who want to have the WLS in the Antelope Valley area. I spoke to him after the class and was very pleased with his "listening" skills. Not all surgeons really listen to their patients. I met with him in July 2010 for my "approval" for surgery. I took my mother with me as she is a retired RN and knew she may have quesions I did not even think about. I had done all the blood work at that time and after speaking with him for an hor and a half all my questions and concerns were answered and so where my moms. She was very impressed with him (as was I) having worked with surgeons for 20 + years she was very impressed with the way he treated his patients and his extreme thoroughness. No question or concern was not important. I stated to attend his support groups (even though I had not had my surgery yet) and was impressed with how the entire group loved him and always had great things to say about how he treats them. After having the surgery (10-5-10) He was always around checking on his patients. I was feeling like absolute crap and he promised me in 24 hours I would feel better and I did of course. He is very reassuring to his patients and of course you trust him literially with your life. It creates a real bond for both. I tend to be a worrier and he really know how to calm you with out making you feel stupid. He treats you like your are the only patient he has ever had. He remembers every converstion you have. He is such a nice gentleman and really listens to what you are saying. his monthly support group is absolutely superb. He is at each one and he asks your opnion of the topic and what topics you woud like presented in the future. He then incorporates that into the support group. He has even had a culinary chef there with four of the dishes she made (we all ate them) specifically for WLS patients. I believe in him and have referred him to many who are considering WLS, who are now his patients. As far as his office staff, they are the best. They definetly work sooo hard as he has so many patients yet thwy are friendly, supportive and very nice Love ya JOJO). Absolutely 10 star rating !!!

Let me start by saying Dr Yadegar is my hero :)

I went to my pcp in 2009 seeking help to lose weight and was told I needed wls. My response to that was “you’re out of your mind, I am not having elective surgery!” I left the office that day and that was that. Once 2010 came around and I found myself 20 lbs heavier and at the highest weight I had ever been. I went back to my pcp and reluctantly agreed to having wls. I knew I was desperate at this point because scardy pants me was choosing to face my biggest fears ... needles and scalpels *YIKES*.

I began my preparations by joining the required 6 month bariatric classes but by 3 months into it I was beginning to feel like I wanted to back out. The course instructor told us all to stick it out until we saw the surgeon and then make that final decision to go forward or not. I am so glad I listened to her and did just that!

Seven months had past before I was able to finally see Dr Yadegar for my initial consult appointment. I went in there dead set on not having the RNY as my Endocrinologist wanted me to have. Dr. Yadegar took the time to get a sense of what I really wanted or didnt want for that matter. He talked to me about the only procedure I was remotely interested in, explaining the dangers that the wls community is now learning more and more about. After spending some time with me he recommended that I have the VSG. He had me go home and research all information on VSG and to compare it to the other procedures and then call his office once I had decided what I wanted to do. He completely and utterly listened to me and from that was able to determine that the VSG would be the right procedure conducive to my likes, dislikes, fears, expectations and my qualifications. Also, to not be pressured to rush into it and instead take my time researching his recommendation showed me that it isnt all about, “ca-ching”, making money for him. If that were the case he would have said nothing to begin with and simply scheduled the lapband that I was interested in. I got a true sense that he genuinely cares about the ultimate success of the surgery and more so about the people having it done. I have to say that after my first visit with Dr Yadegar, for the first time since I started preparing for wls, I not only wanted to have the surgery but I was excited about having it as well. This is testament to Dr Yadegar’s ability to effectively inform and educate his patients in a way that blankets the fears with a calm reassurance that everything will be okay. I have never had a Dr go out of their way or take the amount of time that he did to care for me, he is truly one of a kind.

He is dedicated to making sure his patients are well informed about any and all that pertain to their surgery and the aftercare, including a mandatory 4 hour instructional class. Also, I was poked and prodded, looked up one side and down another to make sure I was in good physical and mental health for the surgery. He was very thorough in every aspect of making sure my surgery was a success, before, during and after!

Dr Yadegar has an exceptional ability to connect with his patients, has excellent bedside manner and is an amazing surgeon. I am very happy with my small incisions! I was well cared for by him and his staff at the hospital and have no complaints what so ever about the surgery. After the first four days, recovery became a breeze and there were absolutely no complications, which I was very happy about. A kind, caring, courteous, salt of the earth, good natured soul is what you will find in Dr Yadegar and if you are considering wls with him then you are in for a real treat! Oh ya and his office staff are very nice and helpful too :)

I first met Dr. Yadegar about 4 years ago. First impression was very soft-spoken, well-spoken and completely a gentleman in the pure sense of the word. He reccommended the Lap Band for me and told me to call another doctor, which I didn't. I heard thru the grapevine that he was working on getting his Band Cert, so I decided to wait & see how long that process would take. I checked back with him nearly 2 years ago and was originally scheduled for the RNY in Sept, 2009. During my pre-op testing, he found the gastric polyps, and advised me that the VSG would be the best procedure for me. Then we discovered the insurance company wasn't going to approve the VSG. They would approve the RNY or the Band. He advised me to wait a few months and see if they changed their position. They didn't. I was unhappy about the whole process and decided to capitulate to the insurance co and have the Band. I was scheduled for that in April, 2010. At my pre-op consult he again told me that he understood how badly I wanted surgery, and that he really wished I would reconsider my decision for the Band, and wait to see if the VSG became more mainstream. I took his advice seriously, and waited until the insurance approved it. Why tell you all this? To show he isn't afraid to change his initial conclusion when additional info surfaces that has bearing on the patient's health. He did not treat me like a cookie-cutter doctor, right up to time of surgery when he had to do the main surgery, plus "stitch-fix" (my word not his) my hiatal hernia and biopsy some spots he found on my liver during the procedure.

Dr Yadegar has always treated me with outstanding courtesy, been completely professional but not too full of himself and can explain "the why" behind everything he recommends as part of treatment. He emphasizes aftercare, and reminds his patients that this IS a lifelong committment he is making to our health and we shoulod do the same.

I have watched some changes in the office staff and re-shuffling of their duties due to a busier schedule. Personally, I have not had a negative encounter with anyone there. The girls have always treated me politely, professionally and spoken in a friendly manner to me.

My overall rating of Dr Yadegar and his office would be completely 5 stars!

For anyone in the Southern California area, Dr. Yadegar is the best surgeon. My first impression of him was that he was very friendly and wanted to make you comfortable and informed. He is very thorough and very personable. I haven't had many experiences with doctor's that seem to go out of their way to help make you feel comfortable. He is very caring, funny, thoughtful and really strives to teach his patients all about the surgery options and life pre- and post- surgery. His bedside manner is very professional and very attentive to how I was feeling. I feel comfortable talking to him about any of my surgical/health issues. I have already recommended him to other friends of mine who are looking into bariatric surgery and even my own husband. His office staff are also very helpful and friendly. When you go to his office for your appointments I suggest you bring a book or magazine to occupy yourself and be prepared to wait, but that is only because he gives each patient his full and complete attention when he is with them. In the end, the only thing I would have done different would be to have done it sooner.

I had my surgery on Nov. 8, 2010. Dr. Yadegar is absolutely wonderful! My first impression of him was great. He's funny, polite, very clear about everything. His office staff is great. The one thing that isn't great is the wait at your appointment, you will sit in the office for 1-3 hours waiting. On the other hand, you are waiting because he spends the time with every patient, he cuts no corners. I have talked to other people that have had weight loss surgeries, they were not anywhere near as educated as the patients that went through Dr. Yadegar. He makes sure you are clear with everything before you are even cleared for surgery. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Yadegar is a wonderful surgeon. I had my surgery this past Monday (11/08/10), and he made me feel so comfortable and confident in him through the whole process. He got sick on the day I was discharged from the hospital, however he still called in to give me all of my info and to make sure I was ok to go home and gave me all of my detailed at home care instructions. He is really the best there is. I wasn't crazy about the hospital he works out of - Lancaster Community Hospital - however they are moving in a few weeks to a nicer, newer facility in Palmdale. I imagine it will be a huge step up. Anyway, just wanted to share my positive review and how thankful and lucky I feel to have gotten Dr. Yadegar as my surgeon. :-)

My first meeting with him was great, I really liked him although I thought I would be really scared but he has such a great personality that I don't think anyone could be afraid of anything with him as your Dr. I've done all my pre test and have tried to make sure that all the results are sent back to him. I just wish the office staff would get back to me and let me know about a date for my surgery. Dr Yadegar and his staff are all the best, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, I love them all.
