    Dr. Lily Chang, Bariatric Surgeon Lily Chang, MD, FACS is the Medical Director of the Virginia Mason Francisan Health Center for Weight Management.  She is board-certified surgeon as well as the Program Director of the General Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Chang specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Esophageal Disorders, and General Surgery. She received a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California and earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine Boston, MA, graduating with honors and completed her internship and residency at the University of Washington Medical Center where she also completed a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Chang is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the Pacific Coast Surgical Association (PCSA), Virginia Mason Surgical Association (VMSA), Seattle Surgical Society (SSS), and Harkins Surgical Society (HSS). She is the recipient of many honors and awards and has authored numerous articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Chang has lectured and presented on a variety of topics throughout her medical career.
