I have only attended one of Dr. Colquitt's siminars and stayed for the support group meeting. I was very impressed with Dr. Colquitt. I also enjoyed the support group meeting it was very helpful to actually meet the patients after the surgery. That is about all for now I will add more in the future.

Well I had my first appointment with Dr. Colquitt. I was turned down for the surgery at the present time due to everything going on with Tenncare. The only thing that I wish was that they had called me to inform me that they were not taking any Tenncare patients at this time instead of letting me drive all the way there fill out all the paperwork take and copy my insurance card just to call me back and the Dr. says he want do the surgery. I can understand the part about Tenncare and their problems. But my problem was the way they handled it. It was very embarrassing to walk out of the office and being so upset..I would rather have cried in the privacy of my own home. This is just my own personal experience I'm not making any statements about what other people may experience.

Well I have to come back and let everyone know that a very nice lady named Pam from Dr. Colquitt's office called this morning and there was a mix up on the insurance when I was at the office on 06/08/05 She said they were sorry for the problems and that were going to continue and work for my surgery. YES!!! She just made my day. There is still a possible problem with the Tenncare but I'm willing to take that chance :-)I really did like Dr.Colquitt and I would like for him to do my surgery. Pam Explained everything to me and was very nice and very understanding as to how I felt after leaving the 1st visit.

My first impressionof Dr. Colquitt was He seems very confident. And he should be. He is an excellant doctor. His staff is also wonderful. They always greet you with a smile and never semm to get aggrevated no matter how many times you call them.(because I did) He is very upfront about all the risks. He dosen't sugar coat anything. This is a very serious operation. You could even die. He makes sure you know that. He makes sure you have the right information for you after care and he is only a phone call away if you need him.Dr. Mark Colquitt is a wonderful, talented, skillful surgeon and a God fearing man.

Actually my surgeon was Dr Jonathon Ray who is Dr Colquitt's partner. This man is absolutely wonderful both as a surgeon and as a person. My first impression of Dr Ray was when he came into the office and asked me "how strong is your prayer chain?" I knew then that God brought me to him for a reason and that reason was a sense of peace and contentment that my decision to have the surgery was a right one. The staff at Premiere surgical fantastic. Pam, Jeannie and Beth all go above and beyond to help people with insurance issues before the surgery and make sure each patient has what they need after surgery. Mary is the nurse and I cannot say enough good things about her, she is thoughtful and understanding and helps with anything and everything before and after surgery. Premiere stresses the importance of after-care and has an excellent dietician named Angela Stewart who follows closely each patient's dietary needs to insure they have the most success. All in all there is not one thing about the surgery staff at Premiere that was not excellent to me both before and after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Ray to anyone who is considering this surgery in the future.

My first impression of Dr. Colquitt was very professional and solid.I have had great service from everyone in his office. Dr Colquitt is very straight forward about the risk involved and takes the time you need to answer all your questions, I have never felt rushed or ingored. He has a very structured aftercare program which gave me comfort in knowing I was not going to be let go on my own when I left the hospital! If I were to rate him it would be a 10 ! I have had a great experience.

I attended my seminar with Dr.Colquitt on 4/8/04. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the surgery.
On 4/20/04 I went to for my initial consult with Mary in Dr.Colquitt's office. I have to get some lab work and tests done. As soon as I get the results they will file my insurance for approval of the surgery. I am so thankful I chose Dr.Colquitt and I am ready to have the surgery. Keep me in your prayers, please.

At first I thought he was kind of impersonable and kind of cold.

After a while he seemed to be friendlier and more personable.
The office staff are all very sweet and friendly. Occassionally a little disorganized. There was really nothing I disliked about him. It just takes a while to get to know him. He is very business like when you first go to him but is very caring and understanding afer your surgery. Aftercare is a big part of his program and the 4 rules are really stressed. It is a very structured aftercare program with monthly support meetings and a dietician always available to you.
He was very honest about the risk involved with the surgery. Overall I feel he is an excellent surgeon. I feel his surgical competence is the best.

I've met Dr. Colquitt at his seminar. What helped me to choose him is that he uses the latest equipment (Vista) and Dr. Ray will perform the surgery with him. It's like getting two surgeons for the price of one! The staff is nice. I've only dealt with Mary so far and she's been helpful and pleasant.

I first met Dr. Colquitt at a support meeting on 1/8/04. There were several post-opt patients and all were well pleased with their sugury. You could see these people liked this Dr. and knew he had their best interest in mind. His staff was also at the meeting and they acted like a big loving family.
The surgury was discussed, $3,000.00 program fee, and after care.

He is a fine surgeon who did a great job. He answered all my questions and provided confidence and comfort. He's great! His office staff is top notch, easy and fun to work with. He empahsizes the importance of aftercare through his four rules. This provides the structure to be successful.
