Nick Nicholson, MD, FACS is one of the nation’s top bariatric surgeons, leading the Nicholson Clinic for Weight Loss Surgery with offices in Plano and Dallas, Texas. As a nationally recognized authority for the treatment of obesity, Dr. Nicholson instructs surgeons from around the globe on bariatric procedures on behalf of Johnson & Johnson and W.L. Gore & Associates. He has been named one of D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas for 13 years, as well as a Best Doctor in Collin County for 11 years. Dr. Nicholson has also been recognized as the Best Bariatric Surgeon by Living Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards and Living Well Magazine several times.

He earned his undergraduate degree from UT Austin and his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where his passion for advanced laparoscopic and weight loss surgery began.
