First impression was that Dr. Nick really cared about his patients. The office staff is prompt. There is nothing I didn't like about Dr. Nick. If you are considering surgery through self pay or insurance Dr. Nick is the one. His bedside manner can't be beat and his competence and experience are worth traveling for...if you must travel!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nick & his staff! He was very professional and informative. He answered all of my questions and helped me make the decision about the right surgery for me. Dr. Nick might not really be a "hand holding Dr. Marcus Welby" kind of doctor, but he is outstanding at patient care and surgical skills. I had no surgical complications after surgery at all. I am so glad that I found Dr. Nick and would choose him again!

Dr. Nicholson is amazing person. He truly cares about each and every patient. His staff is supportive and resourceful. There wasn't a question I couldn't ask them. I just had surgery on Monday, July 19th and all went well. My family had never met Dr. Nicholson until the day of the surgery and they were impressed with his professionalism and caring nature. I took my time in selecting a surgeon and it was worth the time. I would recommend Dr. Nicholson to anyone. He is just someone you want on your team.
Sincerly,
Stella

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr Nicholson. He was so understanding of my situation. The office staff was wonderful and very caring. After care is extremely important to him as well as overall health. He is very cut and dry about the risks of surgery and doesnt try to sell you on any ONE surgery. He believes every person will have an ideal surgery for them. I would rate him a 9/10. He is pretty busy so I had to wait a little long in the waiting room for my appointment but they were good at communicating why. I havent dealt with bedside manner for surgery yet but I have no doubt he will be wonderful! I love my new surgeon!

I had my gastric bypass done on December 29, 2008. I can not say enough great things about Baylor Plano and Dr. Nicholson! My first impression of Dr. Nicholson was that he really understood and knew what he is doing. Most bariatric surgeons these days are most likely doing it for money, or so I am told. But Dr. Nicholson is really doing it to make a difference. At his seminar, he tells it like it is, and that is what I also like about him. Great person doing great things for others. His office staff really incredibly amazing! Crimson worked with us to make sure we had everything for the insurance company. Being 18 years old, it was easy to pull all my medical history. There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about Dr. Nicholson, his staff, and Balyor Plano!!! Dr. Nick is very serious about post op nutrition. He will tell you everything you need to know about it from the pouch stretching to the painful dumping syndromes. He will tell it as it is. Baylor's aftercare program is amazing. After a day or so after surgery, you will be expected to get up and start walking around. There are support groups meeting every month that are amazing! He also stressed about the risks of gastric bypass very thoroughly. I would have to rate him as a 10 out of a range of 1-10, 10 being best! He is a very great guy doing great things for us!
