First, let me start by saying that I cannot comment on Dr. Lalor specifically as a surgeon because my surgery was performed by another doctor out of state that did a wonderful job. Also, Dr. Lalor’s office staff is very friendly. I came to Dr. Lalor for follow-up care and adjustments after relocating back to Ohio. From the beginning, he seemed a little smug, but I did not think much of it, but his attitude got worse with each visit. I don't know if it's because of my race or my financial status, but he did not treat me well at all. He was very rude and disrespectful to me at times. At my last visit, he was 45 minutes late for my office appointment and didn't even bother to apologize. He has been offensive to me
on several occasions and made me feel like I'm nothing more than a failure that’s wasting his "precious" time. He has actually said that I’m wasting his time on at least two separate occasions. I can't remember him showing any support or encouragement. In my opinion, his method is not one of tough love or concern-it’s more of ridiculing and belittling to the point where I was brought to tears on least two separate visits. Not once did he attempt to go over eating plans, etc with me. He constantly criticized and attacked me. I have never experienced this type of behavior from a medical professional before. Because of his unprofessional and unethical manner towards me, I will never ever return to his office again. I hope others have a far better experience than I did.

I HAD MY SURGERY 3 YEARS AGO IN SEPTEMBER... I HAVE DEFINILY REACHED MY GOAL IN WEIGHT LOSE. IT WAS NOT EASY AND IT HAS HAD IT SHARE OF "BUMPS" IN THE ROAD FOR ME. I HAVE BEEN THE LUCKY 1% PERCENT THAT HAD ALL THE COMPLICATIONS BUT I WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT. DOCTOR LALOR AND THE STAFF HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL AND HAVE BEEN THERE WITH THE WHOLE TIME. I AM STILL ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY BUT I KNOW I AM GETTING THERE AND I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE TEAM I HAD WITH ME!

Dr. Peter F. Lalor is an amazing surgeon!! I would recommend him and his staff to anyone considering bariatric surgery! He is a very caring, straight forward doctor that does not sugar coat anything that he has to say, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Dr. Lalor and his staff is very supportive before and after surgery. I have called his office with numerous questions and they are always so nice and never make me feel like I am a bother. As far as anything negative, there is nothing! I can't say I would change anything about my Doc or my surgery!

My husband and I were very impressed by Dr. Lalor, listening to him at the first seminar. You see my husband has never been in favor of the weight loss surgery. After listening to the Dr. and seeing how he is so knowledgeable about the procedure both pros and cons, my husband was won over. He decided that the best thing that he could do is support me . I had surgery April 21, 2015, the surgery went well, recoup was great as well. His staff is very helpful , very kind and compassionate. The hospital is clean, the nurses and other staff were perfect in their care. I don't live very close to the office or hospital, but it was way worth the drive there and back!! I wouldn't change a thing!

Both my husband and I had WLS with Dr. Lalor. He and his staff have been patient, informative and supportive. He defiantly wants his patients to be successful and his staff is great at giving all the tools to do so. Any time I have called with a question pre-op or post-op they have been more than helpful. He isn't there to be your buddy, he is there to do his job and help you be healthy and successful. I highly recommend Dr. Lalor and his staff.

Dr. Lalor and his staff have been great. They are very informative and helpful with any questions that I have. My surgery with him is next week, but I have every confidence in his abilities. He was very straight forward with me, telling me what procedure he recommends and why, but also reassuring me that in the end the decision is mine. I look forward to all my future interactions with Dr. Lalor as well as the staff!

I just had the gastric bypass on July 2nd and Dr. Lalor was excellent in the pre-op, consultation, and all the post-op hospital visits. He visited right after surgery, after a problem with the pain meds later that day, twice the following day, and then came on the 4th of July to discharge me. He had great bedside manners and answered all questions before and after surgery! I would recommend Dr. Lalor and his wonderful office staff to anyone thinking of having WLS. Besides, Wood County Hospital was a great hospital to have the surgery in with a very attentive staff for after-care! You can't go wrong with a doctor that cares about his patients and knows what he is doing!

Dr. Lalor is a good doctor. He might come off a little smug in the beginning, but if you actually get to know him, he's a pretty nice guy. He can be tough but I think that's just because he cares. Just because he's a bit harsh doesn't mean that he lacks compassion. He has a good bedside manner and generally speaking he's a great surgeon. I can honestly say he cares for his patients' well-being. He doesn't want to see you fail, so he'll be a little hard on you if he has to. If it weren't for him, I'd hate to think where I'd be right now. And also, he's easy on the eyes, so that's a plus!
